Up 2-0 in the ALDS against the Yankees as the Rays. Game 3 puts me in the top of the 6th inning down 7-0. Um ok.

This happened to me as the Rays, same exact situation LOL. I won 9-7.

Unreal season going on here. Ups. Downs. Game 155 (Walk it off to take the division lead), down 2 bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, 3 run walk off shot by Rosario and the Twin City is rocking! Wow. On Legend Plus Hitting..

I jumped up like that actually happened LOL

Up by a game with 6 to play. Next game says (win to guarantee a post season birth up 3-1 top of 8th)

I won the next game, then won the following game to clinch the division. Ended up 3 games ahead of the Indians.

Lost game 1 to the Yankees in 14 innings 3-2, the won game 2 4-0. What a ride yesterday.

I was wondering if it was set up for success, but maybe it's not. I'm playing with the Mets on All-Star. I have been rolling along, but last night I couldn't hit anything and failed on three situations in a row. I'm in first by a few games at the half way point.

The ride has come to an end. Ugh!

Just like when I did a Mets dynamic difficulty one. Got all the way to Legend Plus hitting and pitching and BOTH humbled me big time in the end.

Won game 3 and was up 2-1 in ALDS, Yankees win game 4 and force a game 5.

Game 5 Yanks 8 Twins 3 Final

I gave up 3 two two run home runs and couldn’t hit a lick last two games.

Ended up on hall of fame plus on both hitting and pitching.

Same thing with the Mets one, Yankees beat me in World Series in 6 games because of the above. Lol. I over achieved hitting and pitching and man it stuck it to me. Bah.

Lol had a blast though and ended up with 42 overall points. Did Twins collection and moment on top of the 26 I earned in this MTO. Need 8 more for Buxton and I’m thinking I’ll just redo an MTO on all star.

Honestly its not terrible, you just have to have patience and that's what got me to where i was. Then i somehow lost that patience and it cost me, i was swinging at crap and couldn't stop. I thought i was good after going up 2 games to 1 buy man was i wrong.

Just wanted to add that with the help of patience I even went away from switching my hitting when I get ticked off. Directional to Zone to Pure Analog, rinse and repeat. While I will say I really enjoy being laid back with Pure Analog and seeing pitches better etc I stuck with Zone.

What helped was that I switched my PCI up and finally (i think) found what works for me. Diamonds inside (then fade) with the outside being "outline". That outline helps me follow the ball easier than basic or even using the inner basic or wedge.

Lots of the time the PCI distracts me and with the set up I have now all i see is the diamond by the release point and when the pitcher starts the windup the diamond fades and the ball appears.

I still suffer from jumping the PCI up at times on meatballs, but is what it is LOL.

Even though you didn't win the WS, glad you enjoyed using the Twins. Really thinking about running with them in Franchise (I have a carryover Mets save that I'm still playing, too).

I'm going to run it again with the Twins. The new stages are out and the points double up. So if you start at 0 points and play on all star and win it all you will end up with 120 points and unlock both players. Heck even if you don't win it all you end up unlocking a ton of stuff and only need like 20 points or so.

I think I was premature with that as I didnt see sage 2 saying its locked.

You have to get to 70 points, then the things that are repeatable will then double up.

I sure would like to know how MTO figures out the logic of games. I played as the Mets on all-star difficulty and I won a pivotal game 5 in the NLCS against the Dodgers. I gained a ton of momentum (HUGE fireball) going into game 6 and what does the mode do, it has me trailing 5-2 in the 6th inning with deGROM on the mound. WTF! It simulated that he gave up 5 runs in only 5 innings pitched! Why even have the momentum formula if it's not used properly. At worst, I should've been trailing by maybe 1 run and more likely should've been leading. Anyway, ended up losing game 6, 6-3 and game 7, 5-1, which was all my fault since I played the entire game. Very frustrated to say the least.

The playoffs really do exhibit all the worst things about this game tbh. The "definitely not in the game" momentum nonsense is turned up to about 20 and the game just plays terribly because of it. Endless great input, terrible result swings, constant strikes called as balls when you are pitching, perfect release pitches going right down the middle, fielders bobbling the ball. All to make the game "more exciting", when in reality it just feels like you have no control in some of the games. Very frustrating

Not yet because all of the MTO's I've done have been to get team affinity points for FOTF cards so I've sold the farm for MLB ready players to make a playoff push to make sure I get enough affinity points the first time around. Maybe one of these times I'll run a a legit one where I run it like I'm going to carry it in to a franchise.
