I don't post a whole bunch on here but I just have to say that Bacon's Rosters have had a 2 fold effect on me. First, it has renewed my love of sports games in general but especially of The Show. Not that I wasn't enjoying it, just that there was no spark there anymore and everything just felt like a task so much so that I simmed 10x as many games as I played. However with this roster and the amount of new stuff to learn about the teams and players it has allowed me to get revive my love of the sport and the game itself. For that I will be eternally grateful to Bacon.

Secondly, Bacon and his amazing work has made it hard to focus and play any other sports games unless I can find a fictional roster. Even then, those rosters pale in comparison to the brilliance that are the Bacon Fictional Roster and therefore I have to re-adjust ratings and such to get the excitement I get from these rosters. So, long story short, thank you for all of your time and energy.

I do have a fictional franchise started that I will try to do write up on and get posted in this thread someday. Created 30 fictional teams.

Same here! I honestly don't think I can go back to real rosters.

Same here, I don't even find myself missing it.

To "relearn" the league and the teams, and to have to ACTUALLY scout the league- is simply incredible.

This roster + JoshC's sliders + this extremely polished game= Baseball Heaven.

It is really nice to see so many new faces in the Fictional Rosters. I am really hoping this community grows, stays healthy and welcoming.

Bacon has really started a great thing with all of his hard work. These Rosters have truly added a new life to this wonderful game we all love so much. Its amazing to see so many people that feel the same. I made a post a year ago or so now touting these Rosters and how they had changed the game for me. Now seeing all of these new folks saying the same thing " I don't think I can go back to a real roster again" LOL

Until you play and REALLY spend some time with these Rosters folks really just don't realize how they change the game on every level. It is just mind bending how he has managed to accomplish this and give us these Rosters we have today. For no other reason than the love of the game.

At its heart, that's what these Rosters mean to me. They are for the love of the game. For me and I know many others. this game is at its best with them.

Bacon is Better and thru him Baseball is better.

I just made an executive decision. When Bacon Posts the new roster. I will start a new Franchise and actually post about it here. This is huge for me, cause anxiety issues. But I will if it helps the community and folks like it.

I agree with this, it has made this game so much fun. I will also be posting progress with Franchise. Never have done so before with any of the rosters, but love reading about everyone else's Franchise in this Thread.

As promised the new roster is up and I am starting my New World Franchise. I have not decided on a team yet I will do so very soon. I want to play around with a few teams in Spring Training to finally make up my mind. I am hoping this is my last res start. I have some anxiety and depression issues that I, like many others I am sure, am struggling with this year. I have started probably a dozen franchise and have not stuck with any of them. Though I have played over 300 games LOL. I copied this from another post I made a while ago that lays out my plan for this Franchise. So here we go again.

So here is my game-plan. Basically I wanted to create a "living-breathing" Baseball world that I could seriously invest some time in.

1. Using 30 Team control. The other 29 teams are set to CPU managing everything. I may only step in to fix a roster problem or glaring issue. No reversing trades or other choices no matter how stupid they seem.

2. Since you can't have GM contracts on with 30 team control. This is my idea for this. Every three years I look at my "Grade". If my grade is a C or above I may choose to stay with my current team or move on. If I choose to move on where I can go depends on my grade.

At a C I can choose a team 1 to 2 levels above or below my current team in Overall rating.

At a B I can choose a team 2 to 4 levels above or below my current team.

At an A I can go anywhere my little heart desires.

At a D I can only chose a team 1 or 2 levels below my current team.

At a F I must choose the lowest level team in current overall.

This change take place at the beginning of the off season.

I feel this gives some risk and reward to my efforts and will keep my from getting bored over the years with playing the same team over and over again.

My goal is to keep this franchise going until I have played with every single team thru at least one 3 year "contract"

3. I can only trade for players that have been listed on the Trade Block or in Free Agency. But I can add or subtract players in a trade offered or made to another team. I do hope than I can use honest judgement to keep from taking advantage of the cpu. The idea here is to keep things balanced realistically.

I do want teams to become EPIC franchises that rule for a time period. But I want this project to be able to breathe and grow on its own over time.

Well I think thats about it for now. I may come up with more later

Definitely.

-Added about 150 new CAPs
-About 100 re-done CAPs that have appeared before
-Universal pitching attribute edits

Still the same Bacon's Fictional Roster. Just an upgrade from the first couple I had already uploaded this year.
