I can't stand player career modes in sports games, but I saw a lot of the screenies/vids pre-launch....and yikes.

I'm right there with you bud and like you, reported it.

I just don't understand how people play the game with all that unnecessary crap on the screen...I'm not calling them out....I just don't understand....

I never stream post update....until I play it, test it and feel it is a successful update LOL. For that exact reason. You know I can get quite potty mouthed when I get going....LMAO.

I am sure the Gents at SDS will be on this quick. The fact it was introduced on an update tells me it was a mistake. It can be reversed.

I am very thankful they gave us the toggle option back to clear the white pitch callout dot.

Now they can get that blue circle off under the fielders and all will be balanced in the force.

I am also asking everyone to try and document when you are hearing the crowd dropouts in regards to audio. Please try to notate at what point in a game, or what could potentially trigger it (pre-pitch cameras, any commentary etc).

Also listen for commentary errors and notate what was said wrong or cued incorrectly.

Also which players were not displayed properly on the in-between inning swipes when they show a highlight (a HR for example) Sometimes we get the wrong player model shown before it goes to the highlight of the HR.

For example. Say you hit a HR in the 5th inning with Judge. When they go to the next half of the inning they flash the player model of the last batted out of the inning instead of the actual player model of the player that hit the HR before they show that highlight going into the next half inning.

All that an help them nail down what is causing the bugs.

Unfortunately it has introduced a new bug for clean screen.

That damn blue circle is now showing up underneath the players in auto fielding post patch.

That is completely not needed. We are not fielding!!!!!

Also if possible we need an option to turn HR camera off and specially the sideline reporter.

FWIW, I believe the bolded one happened at least twice during the CPU game sim that they livestreamed yesterday. Although it was on quick counts, so it might be hard to compare with why it happens in normal games. Just seems like a really random thing that happens every so often.

Having the stats corrected on the OSD is a big plus, as it helps with the immersion. The outfielder not locking onto a fly ball fix is another very welcomed addition.

As far as hitting/pitching, I don't see/feel any difference. Played 2 games post patch. First game saw 5 combined homeruns in a 7-2 Reds win. Game 2 saw 2 combined homeruns in an 8-5 Cardinals win.

Same as it was before patch, at least for me.

its a small issue, but the blue icon while using auto fielding is terrible. the patch review group at SDS needs either some help from people who actually play the game, or SDS should reach out to select individuals on OS (franchise, RTTS, DD guys) and have them test the patch.

I have it on good authority the blue circle will be addressed ASAP. So hang in there.

The team is also working under extremely difficult conditions. Working remotely like all of us in this incredible difficult times. I am happy they are still able to get updates out like they are.

But be assured.....it is being looked at as I type this. And it will be fixed. Just file a big report on it.

I am simply frustrated. I realize for most this is non issue stuff.

But for us long time clean screen players....why when everything always worked as far as toggling off visual aides....in every iteration of the show (except MLB 14 when that blue circle under the fielder even in auto field was a design decision that was thankfully removed the following year) worked as it should.

We have an amazing game this year that just went FUBAR with this.

I mean the white dot was annoying. But the blue fielder circle is simply disgusting to see. Ruins clean screen even worse than the white dot. It looks arcade. Not natural.

I am just really aggravated. I love the game but can’t play it the way I have for 15 years?

Wow. Please SDS. Lets clean this up asap. I realize whats going on in the world etc. But typically when you guys patch things they are solid fixes and rarely if ever introduce new bugs.

I play this game to relax and get away from it all. It now has hardly been that because we can’t play it the way we have since we started the series.

This is the only baseball we have right now. And it has not been a smooth release so far.

Here is hoping they can fix everything right.

Also a pop up stat came up for Bryce Harper in my carryover Yankees save.


Lifetime .943 hitter in 9 seasons? Come on.

The trades isn't a bug, but roster issue. A new roster will fix that.

It's still a bug.

A roster update fixes the balancing issue. But the CPU shouldn't be trading away top-level prospects for career minor leaguers. That trade logic needs to be fixed.

I'm still hoping they get around to letting use choose which theme we want to use in custom leagues.

As of patch 1.05 were still forced to use the show theme as its locked.

Really it's not a bad theme just dont like where they have it, and I would like to use MLB Network sometimes in my online league.

It's still a bug.

A roster update fixes the balancing issue. But the CPU shouldn't be trading away top-level prospects for career minor leaguers. That trade logic needs to be fixed.

The "bug" part of it comes in for me because it happens even while the trade slider is zeroed out. Every other part of the year, and every year beyond, that slider works as intended. But not in April-May of 2020. There's just something very weird going on at that time, and I don't think any deals done during that time are truly representative of the game's normal trading logic.

It's not. The slider doesn't work because the roster is not balanced. I don't know if a patch can fix it without screwing up trade logic. Because even if you turn trades off as soon as you turn them back on...no matter what date it does the same thing balancing them.

You can fix an existing franchise by just changing positions. You need at least 1 more at each position and 1 person at each position in aaa.

I have it zeroed out to start my season and it happened after my game last night. There were about ten of them and it pissed me off to no end.

I use 30 team control and set trades to manual for my CPU profile.

Now I’ll have to waste a bunch of time going through the log and undoing them.
