So I'll just say, in the end it is just a video game after all. It's a good baseball game to play. Just don't try to compare it to real life.
Certain real life intangibles can't be replicated in a video game.

I agree. It's just tiresome seeing people not being able to close out games attributing it to a "comeback code". Devs dont even listen to franchise fans let alone worrying about AI

I'm going to be the star of the movie "Trouble with the Curve #2", except the newest threat will be the change up...

for me is slider or curve and boy i cant hit G Cole or shell i have the most trouble on low pitches

This is why you can't use signal team control and why this game needs a cpu AI upgrade.

Started a single team franchise not using the Indians to change things up. Go and look at the Indians out of curiosity, and they have Clase (a setup/closer) as the long reliever. Smh!!! No way to change it.

30 team control (other than fantasy draft franchise which I am doing with the Strat-O-Matic 1980’s roster) is absolute for me. The AI needs a sharp upgrade in team management. No question.

I have used WIDE for years and it helps me see pitches longer and recognize high/low in the zone better than other cameras I've tried (granted I have not tried them all)

Just a suggestion of a new camera to possibly try.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this version. I play classic pitching and zone hitting. I just threw my first perfect game this morning and I've been playing since 2012. You have to find your comfort level and go from there with slider adjustments. Closing out games is tough, as it should be. My level is all-star+ hitting and Hall of Fame pitching. I'm in the middle of year 2 of my franchise and I haven't seen errors happening in the 8th & 9th like what's being talked about. I may be in the minority here, but I'm having a blast this year.

I’m so sick of the base running in this game this year. I’m trying hard to overlook it but it’s cost me two games by runners at second waiting to see if a ball is going to drop on a ball that’s clearly not gonna be caught. Been playing the show for 12 years and never had issues like this with base running

I like the added element of that. It happens a little to much at times, and I do feel the delay (if he will catch or not) is a little over done. I could see the hesitation, then nope and go.

Basically this. I use a customized camera based on the Wide preset. I don't have any footage from this year's game, but I'll get some for ya shortly.

I acknowledge that their fish-eye cameras probably are the easiest to pick things up and time things, but I strangely need a better visual aesthetic to my games, and that camera does not give it for me.

Anyone else feel like the game is scripted at times? Every time I'm having a big game, the CPU randomly has a huge inning to get back in it. I feel like you're never allowed to have a convincing victory.

Case in point - just had a game against the Diamondbacks that I had to turn off halfway through. I hit first, and had a good opening inning batting in two runs. I knew exactly what to expect in the bottom of the first though and, sure enough, Arizona also hit two runs. I regained and extended my lead over the course of the next few innings. I was hitting really well and was 7-2 up going into the 6th. All of sudden, my fielders are making errors all over the place and my pitcher (91 ovr) can no longer miss the bat. One run comes across, then the bases become loaded with two outs. Up steps some random minor leaguer making his MLB debut. He has batting stats in the mid 20s for the most part. He's an absolute bag of garbage. Nevertheless, he hits a grand slam and the game is tied.

You can just feel it coming. It doesn't matter who the pitcher is or who is due up.

nope. never feel that way. once you get those gut feelings something wicked this way comes, you've already basically beaten yourself. never let 'em see you sweat because once the sharks smell blood in the water, you're toast. I dont destroy a lot of my opponents in laughers but that has a lot to with the make-up of my team. the best I can do is keep a steady diet of bullpen arms as rested as possible by rotating 3 or 4 guys between the majors and singles A ball.
