I'm getting it for the XBOX SeriesX. I no longer have PS, so I'm curious as to what type of players will be on this platform. Throwing in cross-platform will be interesting as this will be the 3rd game I've done this on, and games like CoD and SoD have worked well and I've had fun with many players.
This reminds me of when Tekken finally came to the Xbox. Many in the FGC were worried about two things.
1. Will Namco have to water down Tekken 6 in order for the Xbox not to have the inferior version, leaving PS owners stuck with a disadvantage?
2. How many Xbox players play Tekken? Will the challenge be almost non-existent?
I played on 3 platforms. PS, Xbox, and PC, and found it looks and plays the same. (I'm not worried really about this with the show.)
Now with TheShow21, what I'm also curious about is if they will ever decide to have console exclusives. (which I've always hated) Namco did this a lot.... Namco had decided to add exclusive modes to PS. Also, PC is open to mods, leaving Xbox with a just as good version, but very vanilla.
As for competition? As for Tekken, I've found it is far greater on PS(they had it longer), then Xbox, and lastly PC at very novice players IMHO. But this won't matter now that it is cross-play. Being spread across many systems allows for more players and sales which could allow for better things to come.
Anyone that's a fan of the Yakuza series for example will know what I mean.
