I'm getting it for the XBOX SeriesX. I no longer have PS, so I'm curious as to what type of players will be on this platform. Throwing in cross-platform will be interesting as this will be the 3rd game I've done this on, and games like CoD and SoD have worked well and I've had fun with many players.

This reminds me of when Tekken finally came to the Xbox. Many in the FGC were worried about two things.

    1. Will Namco have to water down Tekken 6 in order for the Xbox not to have the inferior version, leaving PS owners stuck with a disadvantage?

    2. How many Xbox players play Tekken? Will the challenge be almost non-existent?

I played on 3 platforms. PS, Xbox, and PC, and found it looks and plays the same. (I'm not worried really about this with the show.)

Now with TheShow21, what I'm also curious about is if they will ever decide to have console exclusives. (which I've always hated) Namco did this a lot.... Namco had decided to add exclusive modes to PS. Also, PC is open to mods, leaving Xbox with a just as good version, but very vanilla.

As for competition? As for Tekken, I've found it is far greater on PS(they had it longer), then Xbox, and lastly PC at very novice players IMHO. But this won't matter now that it is cross-play. Being spread across many systems allows for more players and sales which could allow for better things to come.

Anyone that's a fan of the Yakuza series for example will know what I mean.

Did you know that Big Ant no longer does Rugby League games? I saw Ross Symons replied to a tweet with that info the other day. That’s a worry. If another one comes out, it will be starting from scratch [emoji20]

I sort of doubt it, I'm just gonna be pleasantly surprised if there is one. The streams start next Thursday, so maybe we get a video today and next Tuesday??? Probably not but who knows

The minor overseas studios have cross platform vaults. See Rugby Challenge 4, Rugby League Live 4, and theres at least one cricket game that does. It can be done.

The Jersey movement in 2k7 was a nice idea but it was wayyyyyy overdone. Every game looked like you were playing in a hurricane.

oh no i disagree you could change the wind speed in the game and it got normal...

I rather liked the windy effect it showed it was moving...

                    loved it personally

It just wasn't realistic though. How many times do you actually see jerseys blowing in the wind on a real MLB broadcast? It was a cool effect, but not immersive imo.

Still interested in seeing if there are any features that would seem like a good reason to take out y2y saves. Maybe it is just the addition of stadium creator. I guess it's good enough if your trying to expand to Xbox and need something "shiny" to tempt the uninitiated to The Show.

How often do you actually see jerseys move in the wind in real life? What I would’ve loved to see was bouncing chains and opened up top buttons on jerseys but seeing the homerun trot by Tatis this ain’t happening this year..

One observation from playing the tech demo. The ps5 will have the haptics, but the series x version runs at half the input lag on my tv. If you have a hdmi 2.1 tv like my oled and you put the settings on 4k 120fps it’ll run games at 6ms input lag as opposed to 12 ms. It cuts the input lag by half on my tv. It may not sound like much, but I noticed I was barely ever late on my swings on the Xbox tech demo while on the ps5 I was late on those same pitches.

I felt like I got better response because the input lag was cut in half.

NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.
