Re: MLB The Show 21 Franchise Mode and March to October Details From Feature Premiere
I think he meant more advertisement and team-specific branding, which I’m also interested in. I don’t believe we’ve seen any of this, which leads me to believe it may not be there.
With the amount of advertisements and team-specific branding in a typical MLB stadium, I’m afraid it would make the created stadiums feel like they’re missing some life if every surface is blank.
I’m sure we’ll see more on Thursday, if not in a blog or trailer before then.

Hopefully there's at least a little bit of things like that in the created stadiums. Maybe some placeholders in the design process to add team logos

One thing that might provide some insight was how the game did rebranding with some of the fields. I did a rebrand and used the Old Miami stadium. My team logo showed in foul territory in front of the dugouts.

Re: MLB The Show 21 Franchise Mode and March to October Details From Feature Premiere
As disappointed as I’ve been with franchise for the past 5+ years, The Show is 1 of 2 games that I buy annually no matter what along with NBA 2K
I’ve already got 21 on the PS5 preordered and I can’t wait to hop in and play.
With that being said, now that we’re on the next gen consoles and it seems like they’re putting in the building blocks for a true, revamped franchise going forward. I’m expecting 22 to WOW me in terms of franchise mode or I’ll have to seriously consider my future with this series.
SDS is damn lucky they’re on the field gameplay is SO good that it always keeps me coming back for more. Other people in this thread have shared my sentiment for disappointment with franchise mode, but I’ll give them another year to really get their ish together with franchise mode.

I just can't believe for a second that there are people here who still carry the "wait til next year" mantra with them. We've been waiting until next year for a decade and the cpu still uses the EXACT SAME RELIEVERS in 3 consecutive games of a series regardless of their fatigue! What exactly are we waiting for??
They chance the UI.
They fix a few things with trading logic (and then show screens of Scherzer accepting $11M and Lindor accepting $100M).
It's the SAME DAMN STORY EVERY YEAR! And now with next Gen systems, the price of the game increases. I just don't get it.
*waits for someone to mention rubberband logic*

the Studio is fine with the direction the game has evolved the last few years.
likewise some of their customers are fine with same. some are not.
ultimately the Studio will lose most if not all of those customers.
and it seems they've made their peace with that, especially by adding to the new customer base with xbox.
no one has to like it but at some point they will learn they do have to accept it, move on, and find other windmills to tiltOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

I really wish they would bring season mode back but it’s not going to happen.
Season mode not being there is the reason i play franchise.
But i put everything on automatic, i just want to play all the games, race to the pennant and perhaps break some records.
And, i do it with classic rosters only. In 20 we have great classic rosters but lack the stadiums that go along with them, in 21 it will be opposite so I’m on the fence whether to buy or not even though i just got my ps5.
Really hope all you guys are getting what you want for franchise mode.Comment

I cannot dispute this post Padgoi. You are 100% on the money with the things you have pointed out.
No dispute from me.

the same story every year is quite plain & simple really:
the Studio is fine with the direction the game has evolved the last few years.
likewise some of their customers are fine with same. some are not.
ultimately the Studio will lose most if not all of those customers.

Agree here as well.
I have never pounded sand really as the game has always been extremely satisfying for me. But they have moved on from players like myself.
All cool. We have plenty to keep us happy as a pig in **** (17-20) and as content is created by our incredible roster community, I am sure I will eventually pick up 21 next gen to give it a spin around the block.
But this is not a must have game for me on release anymore.
No biggie in the grand scheme of life.
Happy Easter to those that celebrate it.

Just be patient as some great classic rosters will emerge for 21 but it will take months upon months for it to happen.
That gives the park creators time as well to make all the retro classic fields as well.
In due time it will be highly playable.
Problem is.....will they bring a roster and also stadium import feature to 22?
Who knows.

Re: MLB The Show 21 Franchise Mode and March to October Details From Feature Premiere
By the way, I always found it weird that people only speak about the total dollar amount sometimes and disregard the yearly average. Yes, I know that ultimately $300M is much more than $100M, but what if the $100M is for two years? That's not spoken about enough. I don't know how many years this one is in reference to.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Bryce Harper jumped immediately to my mind.
one of the first contracts I'll look at is Harpers. and also to see if morale is truly tuned back and he if it is, he should no longer be unhappy with that fat contract he was overpaidOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23
