I've said it before and I will say it again, I don't get why digital purchasers pre-order so early unless it is a deal where they have the money then but possibly not now.

You can pre-order today, after the stream, and still get the same benefits of those who preordered months ago. You can pre-order tomorrow, after the first real streams happen from actual players and the first YouTube videos appear, and still get the benefits. The only difference being is that you will be a far more educated consumer than you were a month ago.

This is why I just shook my head when people were so eager to pre-order the game without any details. People can and should spend their money anyway they want. The writing on the wall has been there on who SDS is targeting with their game over the last few years. I’m much more cognizant of who I give my money to and I will be saving my $70 this year. I wish more people would do the same so SDS doesn’t turn into Activision or EA and doping people into buying their yearly release with minimal changes to it.

Xbox has had a whole lot better launch and I think they will win this round of console wars !!! They are buying up very good game making studios and all those games will be exclusive to the Xbox ... There gamepass and online is miles ahead of Sony ... Going forward with the show looks like MLB will be publishing the game and since this game was never on Xbox I can see it being more fresher to play we will see ... I plan on starting out on Ps5 and finding me Xbox series X later on this year and switching over !!

The Xbox still doesn’t have those major exclusives though except for halo, they are relying on the Netflix way of gaming renting your games.

I don’t think their is any winner here but Sony are doing some questionable things. But they still will have it best for actual
Games. Xbox relying on Bethesda too. Which probably be 3 or 4 years away of seeing big titles.

Shake your head all you want, I preorder the game bc I know what I'm getting year to year. There are always going to be changes whether good or bad, but I know that I'm getting an excellent game of baseball on the field. Guess I'm a big dope then [emoji4]

If saves transfer ok via cloud I'll download both and play the PS4 version for SOTS for home games and ps5 for road games lol. Im glad the ps5 preorder come with both versions. Can you have both versions downloaded at the same time or is it one only?

I had both downloaded to my PS5 and deleted the PS4 one so yes you can have both on your console

Here’s a question:

What will happen to save files which have been created on PS4 with custom SOTS, then played on PS5, then resumed playing on PS4? Will the SOTS be erased?

I still think Y2Y saves being gone more because of the changes in RTTS. That does not explain Franchise though.

The entire player object will have changed to accommodate two-way players (as well as Minor League stats) throughout the whole game. The player object will be the same object no matter the game mode. This in my opinion explains Y2Y non-compliance. As well as a few other reasons but this explains why TS21 is the year chosen to cut it loose and start again next year (again, my opinion).

I'm confused by your idea assuming it's possible why flip between both versions. What's gained by playing the PS5 version?

so he can use SOTS for home games with the PS4 version and away games on the PS5 version.

that actually is a awesome workaround for this. assuming saved files can be interchanged between the 2 versions.

I understand that SOTS only works for PS4 but why bother playing the PS5 version with this particular franchise at all.

Unless he wants to use a created stadium on PS5. Everything else is basically identical between the games.

Games not out yet, until we fully know and play both we don't know all the true differences until we get hands on. If it turns out thats the only true difference, then I'll delete the PS5 version. But who knows how they will both play until we get hands on. Get access to both and I have a ton of storage so why not until i need the free space.

There is no guarantee that Y2Y saves will be back for 22. I think we are all just hoping it will be in it.
