I just had a pitch where the ball clipped completley through the CPU batter's bat on his swing in Play Now Live Rosters! WOW smh. At 1st I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. So went into instant replay & sure enough the CPU batter swang right through the ball! 1st it was players clipping through bodies, now the ball is going through the bat on swings? Come on! I think I'm done with this game.

Did you report the bug? That's something big enough I would hope they would look into especially if you have the clip saved somewhere to upload it. I know it's a really big issue where you go wow how can something like that happen but we are two days into the game from official release. There are always issues with games and I feel like clipping is definitely common. It doesn't matter what game it is. There's a reason they have a bug reporting page. They know issues will come up so to stop playing the game without reporting the bug is not beneficial. Obviously that's your all though. Hopefully they can get that fixed and we will be good.

Loving Pinpoint Pitching. Just makes pitching a nerve wracking experience.

I’d like to see one update that would make it even better...

When using a lefty pitcher, reverse ie. Flip, the motions needed for each pitch.

Instead of a curveball going from 7 o’clock, around counterclockwise to noon, and then down to 6 o’clock, for a lefty you would need to go to five o’clock swing clockwise to noon, and then down to 6 o’clock.

Now, you would have to decide which way was more comfortable for you, the user, and that would factor into who was coming out of the bullpen, or who had a great day on the mound, based on the comfort level of the motions...

This would add a killer dynamic to not getting too comfortable with the pitch mechanic. Easy to implement, and even more immersive.

Appears they wiped out several thousand stadium creations (90% of them were junk), hundreds from the player vault and roster vault. Still can’t download rosters though. So.....I guess they’re workinh on it.

Cardinals fans are classy and don't boo former players, they celebrate them. Wong got a standing ovation in real life. Bad choice by SDS.

Thank God for the stadium editor because I don't think the upgrade to TS21 would be worth it without it.

I only played 3 games so far because I have been toying with my stadium quite a lot. It's pretty fun even though I would like some more options (like the possibility to add other objects than doors on the walls) and higher quality assets. Some textures are downright terrible.

The stadium vault is pretty awful without a search feature.

Can't really give my impressions on it until they release patches to fix some of these bugs.

So far, $70 on something I can't really get into yet.

Did you report the bug? That's something big enough I would hope they would look into especially if you have the clip saved somewhere to upload it. Thanks for the suggestion. I did report it in the bugs thread. Also, I do have multiple clips & screenshots saved to my PS5. However, it seems you can only upload them to Twitter. I'm not on Twitter so do you know of a way to upload the clips directly to the link you posted? Or am I missing something?

I get it that some minor clipping is inevitable in video games. However when the ball is clipping completely through the bat on swings, that is inexcusable. This tells me that they don't have true ball physics in the game (let alone true player physics).

I can't bring myself to play a baseball game where the integrity of ball/bat physics are in question. That is essentially the essence of baseball. Unless they come out with a patch or at least acknowledge this is an issue & they are aware if it, I'm gonna have to shelf this game which is unfortunate.

The ball through the bat on replays is something I brought up like 3 or 4 years ago. I was told that the replays don't translate the ball exactly from what actually happens during gameplay. Dont know if its true but in my experience I've seen proof that would lead me to believe that it is. I've seen a tonne of replays where I'm like "hey the ball wasn't there in real time."

Not saying your experience wasn't genuine or it didn't clip through the bat in real time. I'm just saying that I don't think the whole ball and bat physics is borked

Interesting. I figured there would be an easy way you could email them to yourself or something outside of having to use Twitter, Youtube, or something else. I'm not into streaming or sharing my video game stuff on social media and what not so I'm definitely not great there. If I was by my PS5 I'd take a look to see if I could find anything. I know what I have done in the past when reporting bugs is record the video with my phone. So an option could be to just play the clip and record it with your phone. Then go to the site and upload the videos and screenshots. Definitely a hassle though.

If someone has better info please fire away.

Hopefully what CujoMatty said is the case because that definitely would be crappy if the ball really is going through the bat during real time rather than just showing in the replay.

Hope I'm understanding that wrong, otherwise OMG people are gonna be pissed the players, rosters, stadiums they uploaded are now gone forever.

I hear you & thanks for the feedback. I have multiple screenshots saved to my PS5 showing the ball going completely through the center of the bat. I'll try to upload them I can.

Well, I love the pin point pitching. Late in the game, runners on base, it's hard to get the motions correct without getting the controller all sweaty and choking. A very good improvement in the game. It's actually the only reason I bought this years version.

Other than that - retro mode is a waste of space. Haven't tried stadium creator, but I'm not interested in that either. Just RTTS and a 9-inning baseball game. None of the other bells and whistles.

My biggest disappointment is SOTS - or lack thereof. So, even though I bought the PS5 version, I use the PS4 version (on the PS5) more just for SOTS. There really is not any difference - it's the same graphics (from previous years), same gameplay AND I get SOTS! A buggy version that erases every day, but that hopefully will be corrected.

It really doesn't make sense to me that new generation game has less features (features that matter to me, anyway) than the previous generation.

But, like Groundhog Day, it plays a great game a baseball. Which is all I want....AND my SOTS!
