Other than that - retro mode is a waste of space. Haven't tried stadium creator, but I'm not interested in that either. Just RTTS and a 9-inning baseball game. None of the other bells and whistles.

My biggest disappointment is SOTS - or lack thereof. So, even though I bought the PS5 version, I use the PS4 version (on the PS5) more just for SOTS. There really is not any difference - it's the same graphics (from previous years), same gameplay AND I get SOTS! A buggy version that erases every day, but that hopefully will be corrected.

It really doesn't make sense to me that new generation game has less features (features that matter to me, anyway) than the previous generation.

But, like Groundhog Day, it plays a great game a baseball. Which is all I want....AND my SOTS!
The scariest part to me is that I haven't read one review that even mentions SOTS being gone.(not even the OS review) I'm not sure enough people care about it that SDS will even worry about it.

I hope they choose to support it down the road cause its such an amazing feature that adds so much atmosphere.

So far I’m not impressed with the game at all. It sure as heck doesn’t feel next gen and I find myself already bored 3 days in. The gameplay is just so slow, the rosters are terrible, the graphics don’t even look better than 20 on the ps4. Stadium creator looks like something that came out in 2008.

San Diego devs if you see this post.. Please add more detail to the mound and back stops please!!! Better textures for different materials and on the mound dirt, etc..

Also please add a rosin ball to the mound. I only ever see spikes unless I'm missing it. It usually sits in the back of the mound.

If I have ps5 version purchased can I get ps4 version ? And is there really no difference between the two besides stadium creator? I really miss SOTS.

Is anyone having real problems reading the white text? Is the font too small or is it time for glasses?

You can get both but you'd have to drop $80+.

Agree. This game on the PS5 is beyond disappointing. The graphics are the same as 20 on the ps4 pro, this is unacceptable. Before anyone jumps down my throat about the size of the dev team and their budget, and that I have unrealistic expectations etc let me say this...

My expectations are on par with the other games released on the ps5. As for dev team size and budget, don't charge the same amount of money for a game if you can't deliver the same quality product as the bigger companies do. That is not a legitimate excuse. I'm paying $80 for a game I expect an $80 product.

I traded Kyle Hendricks, Wilson Conteras and Kris Bryant in 3 different trades in spring as a firesale for the cubs. By 1 week into spring all 3 players released.

I give up. How do I get my money back?

This and the trade logic are something else. I can get Bryant for 2 B major league players with high 60 overalls.

Not sure what’s going on with this years game but the gameplay is still solid enough and I’m too stubborn to go back to 20

I put 87 ovr Kirby Yates CP 32 years old in the offer trade section to see what I could get and the Cardinals offered me A prospect 63 ovr Dylan Carlson(13th prospect overall on mlb.com) and A prospect 78 ovr Jordan Hicks. I thought this was supposed to be better? This is the worst trade I've seen in all my years in this game.

Is it really that bad if you look at it from the CPU’s POV as an all in win now move for the Cardinals? The AI has no clue MLB.com ranked Dylan Carlson as the 13th best prospect. It also doesn’t see Hicks stats from 2019 and 2018.

In game all it sees is a currently just ok OF with high potential, and already decent RP with high potential in exchange for an elite RP who’s a huge upgrade, Yates. The CPU is never going to ‘think’ and make decisions like we do. I agree it’s a bit of an overpay adding Hicks in too, he’s a bit too good already, but it’s not a disaster trade IMO. Not like real GM’s never give up to much in a trade.

I see what you are saying. I guess I am also basing how poorly it is on the fact Yates is a CP. An 87 ovr CP has a value of about a 75 ovr any other position IMO. Getting 2 A prospects for even a higher than average position player or Starting position is tough.

That being said. I try to make sure i accept only fairish trades but you talked me into it. Let me go accept that trade lmao.

The soundtrack is possibly the best of the franchise, imo.
