Cardinals activate Joey Gallo from IL

The Cardinals have activated Joey Gallo from the 10 Day IL. Gallo missed 2 weeks with a flexor strain.

Gallo has been hot of late before his injury and the Cards hope that he'll pick up where he left off.

Justin Toerner was optioned back to the Memphis to open a roster spot.

      August 30, 2020 | QUEENS, NY

Willson Contreras blasted a grand slam in the top of the fifth as the Cubs routed the New York Mets at Citi Field Sunday afternoon to complete a three-game sweep. The Cubs jumped out in front early as Anthony Rizzo knocked a two-run homer in the top of the first inning off of Mets ace Jacob de Grom. Kris Bryant followed suit an inning later, hammering a two-run shot of is own. Jose Quintana earned his 10th win of the season, completing six innings allowing just two runs.

The Cubs have won five consecutive games and eight of their last nine games as they head back home to Wrigley Field for a three game series against the San Francisco Giants. Jon Lester (10-8, 3.84) will face former Chicago Cub Jeff Samardizja (8-16, 4.04) Monday night to open the series. With the win over the Mets the Cubs improve to 87-50 and shrink their magic number to 13 for the division.

"We just have to keep things rolling," said Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber after the game. "We're entering the final phase of the season and we're right where we want to be. We just have to keep playing our game and not try to do too much."

The Cubs will have to do without the services of Jason Kipnis for a couple weeks after he pulled a muscle on a diving during the seventh inning. Nico Hoerner is expected to be called-up to replace Kipnis on the roster.

Devastating news, but here it is: one of my buddies was messing around on the Show, and simmed ahead like six season just to experiment with how things looked in the future, and he ended up playing a game, which caused an auto save. I don’t want to continue the Royals franchise that I played 162 games on and lost a WC in year one under this situation so I will be deciding on a new team and beginning again.

If a certain team sounds exciting to follow, let me know.

Cardinals take both games of 2 game series with Royals

The Cardinals (81-54) took both games of a mini 2 game series with the Royals to now be tied with the Brewers atop the NL Central as the two get ready to play a 4 game series.

The Cardinals bats were explosive in the series accounting for 5 homeruns over the 2 games and racking up 19 hits between the two days.

Joey Gallo welcomed himself back hitting a homerun in each game and went 5 for 8 in the series with the 2 homers, a double and 6 RBI.

The Cardinals will return home for a 10 game homestand starting with a 4 game series with the Brewers this weekend.

You didn’t happen to upload to the cloud at some point, did you?

I always upload to the cloud after each series as a backup measure.

Cardinals split 4 game series with Brewers..remain tied

The Cardinals (83-56) split the 4 game series with the Brewers and remain tied atop the NL Central with the Brew Crew.

The series got off to a good start with the Cardinals winning the first two of the series, with Friday nights game being in spectacular fashion when the Cardinals scored 4 in the 9th to tie the game, and then 3 in the 10th to comeback and win the game. Saturday the Cards offense was shut down as they lost 3-1 and then Sunday, I'm not sure what was in the Brewers breakfast, but they hammered 7 homeruns on Sunday afternoon in route to a 10-5 victory.

The Cardinals will welcome the Cubs to town for a 3 game series starting on Monday.

Could someone please answer me? I approached this beautiful game for the first time, I can't understand a thing, is there a way to do a season by selecting a small number of matches?
I would like to have a career where seasons last fewer games than the real calendar, I wouldn't have time to play too many games, and I wouldn't even like to have to simulate them. Thanks

There's not a way to play a shortened season. Simulating games in between the ones you want to play would really be the only option.

Much appreciated. I’ve always liked photoshop and writing almost as much as playing the games. So it’s a good combination.

Braves savaged the series finale vs. the Blue Jays

Those Blue Jays (18-19) on the year. They do not and have not played me like that. Their pitching staff is very good, especially the bullpen. They have taken 5 out of 6 games played.

                                Game 1: Thornton vs Morton(2-2). Both Starter's pitched well. Thornton went 5.0IP,5H,2R,2ER,2BB & 3K. Charlie M went 7.0IP,3H,1R,1ER,0BB & 7K. The key was their bullpen 4.0IP 0Runs, on 4 hits and mine's gave up 3ER in 2.0IP. They won 4-2!

Game 2: Stripling vs Soroka(4-1): The pitching duel was on. Stripling went 6.0IP,5H,1R,1ER,0BB & 1K. Soroka went 7.0IP,4H,1R,1ER,1BB & 8K. Both starter's leave with No decision's. Another 4.0IP,0Runs by the Blue Jays Bullpen. Mine's on the other hand, 3.0IP 2R,1ER. Blue Jays win 3-2!

Game 3: R. Ray vs Fried(2-2). Fried improved to 3-2, lowered his ERA to 1.97. This game my offense got to Mr. Ray in 4th inning on 2R HR by OF Duvall and knocked him out game by the 6th inning with a RBI single by OF Pache. Fried was the stopper going 7.0IP,4H,0Runs,0BB & 9K's. We won 3-1!

We sit at 19-18 on the year. Last in the east, trailing the division leading Marlins(22-16) by 2.5. Up next we travel to Milwaukee(24-16). They lead the central by 3 games over the Cubs.. Their pitching is very good. Team ERA sits at 3.04 and we(Braves) sit at ERA 2.69.
Yellich and Vogelbach has 10HR's a piece on the season, so I won't be too prideful to handout some IBB...
