Reds stay hot in New York!
1-3 L (Hoffman 0-1; Cessa 2-2; Chapman S,3)
5-4 W (Garcia 2-0; Britton 0-1; Garrett S, 7)
6-3 W (Fulmer 1-1; Lustre 0-1; Garrett S, 8)
Gerrit Cole in game two was very good but twice their bullpen blew it. Reds had to come back in the 2nd and 3rd games of the series to win both in extra innings. Aquino was the hero in game 3 with a 10th inning 3 run homer.
The depth in the OF is so good for Cincinnati. Aquino was only playing cause Castellanos needed a day off. Winker coming back from injury soon as well. If we stay mostly healthy it will be difficult to get at bats for a couple of my outfielders.
We haven't lost a series yet, taking two of three every series so far. Including the short two game series sweep of Milwaukee. Up next for us is a road trip to face the Cardinals. Reds looking good increasing the division lead up to 3.5 games up now with a 14-7 record.
Cardinals sit dead last in the division. Matter of fact they have the worst record in baseball with a 5-17 record and way behind already 9.5gb from first place.
And oh boy the news for the Cardinals gets worse. Simulated the game for injuries and Dylan Carlson tears his ACL and is out for the season. For me, the Reds had India with a minor day to day injury I will have to create. India was on his way down as soon as Winker came back anyway so this will give Schrock and even Mike Freeman some more at bats for a few games or so.
