Texas Rangers update (MOM) All Star Break.

The Texas Rangers have reached the All Star Break at 47 and 45. 7 and a half games out of first. The record is somewhat suprising but the starting pitching has carried us. We made 1 small trade as Hunter Wood was dealt for Billy Hamilton. Here is a run down.

C Trevino has been ok but Randy Florentino a 20 year old prospect who was called up to replace injured Jonah Heim has been great.

1b Nate Lowe has been ok after coming off the 60 day IL

2b Nick Solak. 275 hitter. Solid Season

SS IKF returns after a stint on 60 day IL

3b. Neither Culberson or Holt are doing well

    LF Calhoun Low average

    Cf Tavaras Hitting only 210

Rf Gallo. Started season on torid HR pace. Cooled of quite a bit last month. 21 hr as of now

Putching as I said has been strengtn Prospect Hans Crouse has looked good.

On a side not Mike Trout leads in everything. HRS Rbi Runs. AVG

Re: MLB The Show 21 Franchise Discussion Thread

I've actually started my franchise and I tend to watch more than I play. It makes it easier to run games and I have them on in the background when I'm doing things for work. I like to see how my team does without me being in control of them. So far it's been pretty fun!

Baltimore Orioles End Of April Update
        Overall record:18-8 (1st AL East)

Orioles sit at first in the AL East after a first month of streaks

The Baltimore Orioles are surprisingly sitting atop the AL East as April comes to a close. The record sits at 18-8 with the Red Sox (16-12) in second, the Blue Jays (15-11) are in third . In fourth is the Yankees (15-12) and the Rays (9-19) are bringing up the rear.

The Month started off with four straight victories. Those victories were followed by four losses. The Orioles then managed eleven wins in a row before going on another four game losing streak. Finally, the month was finished with a three game winning streak.

The team definitely exceeded expectations to start the year. They showed great determination as in the eleven game win streak, the average run differential was only 1.8.

A big reason that the win streak went as far as it did is closer Cesar Valdez who tallied 10 saves with 0 blown saves. This was done while sporting a very good .90 ERA.

Ryan Mountcastle did have a fourteen game hitting streak however, that streak was eventually snapped and he then went on a four game hitless streak.

Starting pitcher Dean Kremer was the lone long term injury suffered during the first month of the season. He suffered a fractured arm and is slated to be out two to three months. Twenty-four year old Conner Greene was called up to take his place and is set to make his debut in the second game in may.

The team has struggled offensively at times. This is apparent as they currently sit at 18th in the league in team batting average (.246).

Yankees acquire Trevor Story from Rockies

The Yankees have acquired SS Trevor Story from the Rockies in exchange for SS Kevin Vizcaino and LHP Nestor Cortes Jr.

The Yankees already lead the AL East by 8 games over the Blue Jays, but they aren't done adding to their roster as they fulfilled a weakness by adding SS Trevor Story from the Rockies. Story is hitting .265 with 13 homeruns and 39 RBI's. He is in a final year of his contract so this is purely a rental for the Yankees as the SS market is expected to be big this offseason.

The Rockies get SS Kevin Vizcaino who is 22 years old and controllable for the next 6 years. He's on the fringe of being MLB ready and has good upside.

Nestor Cortes Jr is a 24 year old lefty who hasn't pitched in the majors this year but does have some service time during his days with the Mariners. Cortes was strong in AAA pitching to the tune of a 0.36 ERA in 24.1 innings of work with 26 strikeouts. Cortes will provide depth and upside to a bullpen that needs it. He is a FA after this season so the Rockies will need to resign him.

The Yankees are well on their way to punching their ticket to the fall classic as I don't know there is a club in the AL that can stand in their way with their pitching and now improving the one "weakness" they had in their lineup.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I don't do anything for the CPU. I let them trade whomever for whatever.

I think I ask this every year, but how do you all roll uniform-wise in your franchise? Try to follow real life, your own method or go with what the computer suggests?

For my Braves this year, I'm going with the following:

                    Home
                    Weekday: White
                    Saturday/Sunday: Red
                    Holiday: Cream

I considered Jackie Robinson Day a holiday and wore cream since 42 is on the front and back of those jerseys. Wish the Braves had done that IRL.

                    Road
                    Weekday: Gray
                    Saturday/Sunday: Blue

                    Playoffs (if I get there)
                    Home: White
                    Road: Blue

Carlos Martinez and Alex Reyes earn All-Star selections

The Cardinals have two players representing the organization in the All Star Game.

Carlos Martinez (11-3 2.13 ERA) earned the right to be the starter for the National League. Carlos Martinez has had a resurgence year this year as he has been the most consistent pitcher for the Cards this year, right there with Jack Flaherty.

Alex Reyes earns the selection with 25 saves in 26 opportunities and an ERA under 2. Reyes who was thought to be a starter when the organization was developing him, looks likely to be the closer today and of the future for the organization.

My franchise is going fine, win some and lose some. But something that is starting to get under my skin is that Ozzie Albies after 8 games and like 30+ at bats has yet to get a hit. 0.000 I mean really? Other than that, the game is playing great, sliders are great, everything fine. Every year it seems like I have a guy or two that you would expect to perform and for some reason they get off to a slow start, which is all fine an dandy, but Ozzie being 0 for 30 that's just not cool man.

Other than that, the game is playing great, sliders are great, everything fine. Every year it seems like I have a guy or two that you would expect to perform and for some reason they get off to a slow start, which is all fine an dandy, but Ozzie being 0 for 30 that's just not cool man.
I wouldn't trip, man. It's more likely that Albies has has good pitches to hit and you're timing has been fine. Just one of those things. I assume as well, you could be rushing at the plate with him. I know when a player is in a slump I tend to press more with him than I do others. Overall, he will soon get on a massive hot streak and start hitting everything. 8 games out of 162 possible is nothing to be concerned about about IMO

For my Braves this year, I'm going with the following:

                            Home
                            Weekday: White
                            Saturday/Sunday: Red
                            Holiday: Cream

I considered Jackie Robinson Day a holiday and wore cream since 42 is on the front and back of those jerseys. Wish the Braves had done that IRL.

                            Road
                            Weekday: Gray
                            Saturday/Sunday: Blue

                            Playoffs (if I get there)
                            Home: White
                            Road: Blue
This year I am rolling with the 72' Gas light uni's for my first 7 game homestand. The modern day white uni's at home therefore afterwards. I am torn for the weekend home series jersey.

As far as the road uniform goes, I generally choose the opposite of the cpu opponent. If the CPU chooses a dark alternate jersey, I will choose to wear our all heather gray uniforms. Dark road uniforms worn if the CPU wears their standard white uniforms.

Im new to Baseball in general and the Show on XBox...

Have followed the MLB-Season for the first time when the Cubs had their great year and now again because of DAZN which have MLB Network and a lot of full games on the stream.

So i startet with the Nationals to a franchise.

Only signed Encarnacion as a FA because of his Powerbat as a Pinch Hitter or Rotation player.

A 3-3 Record to the start in which every game was close incl. two loses after extra innings.

Then the Dodgers, they startet 7-0 into the season visit us for a 3day Series. I was feared.

But Buehler starts and must leave the Mount in the 3rd Inning. He gave up 10 runs in this Innings. He walked 3-4 guys, give up a crazy wild Pitch, Schwarber and Castro homered. And the Defense has 3 Errors. I think he throws 70 Pitches in 2,5 Innings.

We win at the End with 12-3.

So i hope the next two games become also nice when their Bullpen maybe become a problem.

Schwarber lead the NL with 6 Homeruns and 12 RBI´s. Dont no why, but in every homegame i can hit a homer with him to the RF-Stands.
With Soto i struggle but get a lot of walks. Turner is surely a beast in run and stealing.

Play every game on Veteran/Batting and All Star Pitching.
                              Directional Hitting and Classic Batting.

Fielding and baserunning auto, because it is to fast and complicated for me

American League defeats National League 5-2 in All Star Game

The American League got the better of the National League in the All Star Game at Coors Field.

The National League jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st when Christian Yelich drove home Freddie Freeman with a RBI double down the left field line.

But that lead wouldn't last too long as in the 4th, Jose Abreu hit a 3 run bomb off of Trevor Bauer to dead center to give the AL the 3-1 lead. The AL would tack on 2 more in the 9th when Nelson Cruz hit a 2 run homerun off of Alex Reyes to push the lead to 5-1. The NL got a run in the bottom half and with a RBI single by Donovan Solano but would get no further.

Alex Reyes did strike out Aaron Judge in the 9th to experience some success in his first all-star game. Carlos Martinez was better working just one inning striking out 2.

The Cardinals will return to the diamond on Friday as they welcome the Giants to town to begin the 2nd half of the season.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
