No I guess they still were communicating over phone after the deadline, but it wasn't really an official negotiation session.

Said they were still discussing tonight but not in person. Just don’t understand the 6:00 deadline. They talked til 3 am last night so why stop at 6 tonight when the players have a reasonable offer. Supposedly, the players counter was Manfred’s idea last night but the owners were mad it came after the 6:00 deadline.

Yeah it’s pretty quiet now so you wonder if anything came out of their after deadline discussion.

yeah ok not holding any hope for tomorrow. it's just ridiculous now, deadline here deadline there not happening here it might happen there.. then another chance here another chance there.

it is either now or never. it seems so called momentum only happens after midnight with these things not the next day. lets not get burned a 3rd time with hope

1 . Dont forget they canceled games… then said if we get a deal done in the next week we will uncancel them / and these arbitrary deadlines set by the mlb

                      2. Dont forget the mlb chose to vacation and not actually start negotiating until february?

                      3. Last but not least, there has been a season where they operated under the previous cba while negotiating. The season is not going on beacuse the OWNERS CHOSE to lock the players out. The OWNERS CHOSE to lock the players out.

1 it is now the middle of March we are actually getting to the stage where there is no time left to fit in 162 games at all.

2 well that was always gonna happen it is called leverage. if they started in December would not have made a difference still would have been talking now it had to be in high stakes

3 the reason for this is the players could stop mid season and go on strike... that is why they locked the players out they don't want to risk something happen mid season here which would have been a high possibility. it was better to lock them out in the off season then have that happen mid season and be more of a disaster.

The point is we dont know when a deal will be made or how many games will me missed. Even if they say they are canceling said amount. So what is the value in going off the rails and saying youre not gonna watch this season because of canceled games and you have no idea how many are being canceled? Lol

So youre saying it was better for the owners to lock the players out. Thats my point, they locked the players out.

I just cant believe people are blocking me and say im trolling lol while there are ppl in here like children saying they are done with baseball because opening day might be delayed lmao its insane lol literally like tantrums l. Dont hit send bro

I am saying missed games is not good and a ruined season. it screws the stats and makes the season one you look back at as 'astricks' it will be a 'yeah but' ... like we did last year we kept saying oh he sucked in 2020 'yeah but' it was only 60 games.

I didn't watch much of 2020 I was over it by the time we got to June and stopped caring.. and when the season finally started I had no heart in it at all and didn't care didn't feel like a REAL season at all.

We are now down to 150 games for the year (at this stage) that is already some starters missing 2 or 3 starts pitching. you might not care but lots do about that.

PS you really gotta cut down on your LOL and LMAO each paragraph

I know this is a tense situation that is going on. I am both furious and exhausted over this. But let's try to keep things civil. I know people are mad, and have every right to be. But let's all try to calm down and have good faith productive discussion.
