    Re: MLB lockout

I'm glad they didn't rush to accept option 1. Personally, I agree with what Ken Rosenthal tweeted about the union/PA viewing option 1 as an escape clause for the owners. No way the PA should agree to that, unless re-opening the CBA had to be mutual.

If the International draft is what's holding this up, I see no reason why they couldn't come to an agreement without it while continuing to discuss/evaluate it and add an addendum to the contract at a later date, if an agreement is reached.

Go with Option 2, no draft and draft pick comp is back… They’ve had that for the last how many years.

Then the players need to do option 3 and give up the QO.

my god twitter is toxic. and the Journos don't help with their bi-polar views of 'this is bad' 'they are close' every 10 mins switching views.

just stick to the big journos who report the actual news not their 'thoughts' it doesn't help the situation.

Yup. They need to get this done today or just shut up and go away until they figure it out amongst themselves.

                        Re: MLB lockout

MLB has proposed a Nov. 15 deadline for the union to agree to an international draft starting in 2024, in exchange for eliminating direct draft pick competition. If the players reject it by the deadline, MLB would have the option of re-opening the CBA after the 2024 season.

Yeah starting to smell awfully similar to last week. Reports of progress, then MLB tries to sneak something else in last minute so they can blame the players again.

MLB says there is nothing else to discuss if the players don't pick one of the 3 options. Players are going to submit a counter offer. So that will be the verdict. Players just need to let go of the QO issue. Or lower the bonus pool money to keep the QO out.

yeah the Bonus pool is what is left here that is the biggest issue.

it's basically the last hope of saving the season as a normal one

Yep we’re done until god knows when if PA doesnt go with an option.

If they reject all 3, 2022 season is gone.
