I honestly thought they would meet today and at best again in a week after the owners went back discussed and came up with a counter proposal.

Tomorrow will be a telling sign, in my opinion, of just how close we are to getting this thing settled.
      No totally. I agree.

I just sensed your optimism and what i was seeing was saying like dont get excited because since they dont have a SOA right now, they'll probably inevitably reach a stall and go back to not talking for a week or two. This even if they're fine with the deal, no reason to agree right now when you still have like 6 weeks (give or take) to play hardball and still not miss games

Damnit, looks like we're not getting much closer... There is no talk of them meeting anymore this week or at least I havent seen it anyway.

I would imagine both sides are going to go back to their respective "war rooms" and mull through what was discussed, presented, and come up with a new proposal to submit to the other side.

Question will be who reaches out first with the newest proposal.

I don't want replacement players in the regular season but if the major leaguers are still locked out for all of spring training, I wish there would be a spring training games for each teams top 40 prospects that have zero service time.

speaking of which, in Franchise Mode, I wish in addition to having spring training games for players on the 40 man rosters, at some point in the near future, the Studio would code in a second spring training mode for the 50 plus players not on the 40 man.

Very little progress was made... Yea we ain't seeing ST games at the end of this month.

At this point, we'll be lucky to see regular season baseball on 3/31.

                        Maybe we're getting somewhere...

Universal DH and draft pick compensation elimination has been agreed to.

Manfred says he feels they have a good offer to MLBPA... Guess we'll see.

I would to see a deal made on Saturday or next week some time.

I know most people wont take Manfred's word for it, but I guess he is optimistic that they wont miss games. Quite likely he is just trying to save face, but still he is in the negotiating room so there is a chance that things are moving in the right direction
