I'd think a shared cover with A-Rod (in his prime Seattle era days) and J-Rod would be cool...it would connect past and future together with that Seattle tie-in and would appeal to a much broader audience.
What do you need added to MLB 23 to purchase it?

Pitch clock which I assume will be in. Schedule changes. Expanded playoffs. No shift is a no brainer to get day one for me.Comment

Re: What do you need added to MLB 23 to purchase it?
I'm not so sure it will be, I think it is pretty pointless to put this into the game. The game's pacing is already too fast and far exceeds the real-life pitch clock. Plus, you have the pause button which would just render it moot anyhow. Even in online contests, it doesn't make a lot of sense. I honestly don't believe it is worth the work to include it as it makes no sense in the video game context.
I know various "play clocks" are in other sports titles (like basketball and football) but in those cases, it is much more fundamental to the games' pacing as the games as a whole are timed.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: What do you need added to MLB 23 to purchase it?
The removal of y2y saves has really killed the show for me. It was amazing the longevity that little feature gave to me. This would be about the time of year I'd start to get the itch to play again. I still miss my Cubs y2y that started on the PS3 MLB14 and spanned 12 season thru MLB20 on the PS4. Probably my favorite sport's gaming experience. Without that feature, the show is no longer a yearly buy for me.
You can still franchise on 20 man. I am going into year 7 of a Yankees chise I started back on 17.
You may be surprised how great 20 still is.

You can franchise on any version. Besides ‘21 because that was trash lol.

True but if you are on anything but PS4/PS5, you don't have that option.Comment

I visited 20 a few days ago. The player vault…..what can I say. It puts 22 to shame, which is full of junk. Wish some of those guys would transition to the PS5. The Show 20 on the PS 5 looks absolutely beautiful too. It may be, IMHO, the best overall with the options available, SOTS, cough, cough.Comment

Re: What do you need added to MLB 23 to purchase it?
I can’t go back to ‘20
I’ve messed with it a few times because I was so upset about losing my long running franchise.
But ‘21 was an improvement and ‘22 even more so that ‘20 just doesn’t feel as good.
And I play a majority of my games with PS4 version on PS5 to get SOTS.
