If it comes out on GamePass, I'll definitely play it. I just hope hope there's more freedom with the archetypes for RTTS. It seems hard to make an Ichiro type of player. Far too easy to accidentally hit Aton of home runs even before the contact archetypes are maxed out. Or at least stop the X/A (normal swings) to run up my power attributes way more heavily than contact. Feel like 2k's cap setting is pretty reasonable. Also hope many more off-field elements are added, like making contracts mean something. Franchise actually bringing new aspects is much needed. Like I said, will definitely play it if it's on GamePass, but purchasing it outright makes no sense at regular retail price. Almost certain much won't change outside of gameplay. Not even graphically.

Once they change carry over saves(rosters). Thar finished me off. Knew it would take to long for creators to create players/teams.

I might have stated this earlier but I would love if they put this on the pc. That would be amazing.

I long for deeper editing as well. Coaches, Managers, maybe a deeper minor league system

Bringing back the old stuff as well with save transfers and the audio would be amazing. I feel like something big is coming from them this year

When I say I'm not going to buy a game, I don't. The fact is I instantly got less motivated to play The Show when Season mode was removed. Why? I hate management in sports games. I like a full season schedule, I like to manage my team and a reserve in the minors, I couldn't care less what's happening in those minors and I want to follow the story of the season unfolding before me as I go through the season. The on-field action is enough drama and entertainment for me, I don't need drafts and trade deadlines and salary and badly implemented player morale crap turning my sports season into a drama series. But I play, like very few people, for the pure joy of the numbers of sports simulation combined with the old-school fun of playing a sport in a video game.
So, will I buy 23? I played the 22 season with 21 and didn't notice anything at all wrong with that. If there is a roster updated for The Show 21 for next season I'll probably just do that. Or I'll pick up 22 on sale and go from there. What would make me buy it in an instant?

- Bring back season mode and get rid of May to October or whatever it's called that is a useless mode in my opinion. To bare for franchise players and not enough control for Season mode fans
- Put injury management into that Season mode
- importable rosters from previous games
- full playoff modification
- full rules modification, DH or not, extra inning runner on 2nd or not, 7 inning double headers, etc. Turn on or off ANY rule you want.
- Release the game on PC.

I'd think about buying if all that was possible.

12 pages in and I’m sure many of these have been mentioned already. However being as I’ve told myself that I won’t be buying next years Show. There are a few things that would keep me buying it.

Return of some legends. Cobb, and Ted Williams. Add some new ones like DiMaggio, and others. Including some from the steroids era like McGwire and Sosa.


More old time stadiums. Tiger Stadium, Kingdome, Astrodome, Ebbets Field, and maybe some of the really old fields like Huntington Ave Grounds where the first WS was held.


Create a batting stance would be awesome as well as switch pitchers which was in the game when you use Venditte a few years back.


But yeah and more customizing with the stadium creator. Astroturf options, roof options, etc. Even retractable roofs. Maybe even fields without fences.


Make it so user friendly with options that replay ability is untouchable. And I’m in.

Is it really to much to ask that SDS overhaul the mechanics/physics of their pitching motions to finally mimic real life?

Take the game off of the guardrails. After I make the play, allow me to control the fielders until I either stop moving or hit the x button to throw the ball to the pitcher to start the next play. I hate that once a pitch is thrown, and you put your player in position to make the play, you can pretty much put the controller down because the cpu controls the rest. Remember back in the day, after you make a play and throw the runner out, you can throw the ball around for a bit and even dive around the field, I miss that. I want full control. allow me to interact with things around the field post play. Throw the ball around and maybe even throw the ball away and allow a runner to advance as an error. I miss fun factor. That used to be area of gaming that was actually part of reviews.

I'd hope that there would be completely different commentary for playoff and World series games than the regular season, and at the first home game of the season if you're the World Champs you'd be introduced as the 202? World series champions and they'd raise your banner...little things like that for deeper immersion would be nice.

I'm still playing MLB 20. Year To Year Saves being removed was enough for me to never buy the game again.. I've put way too much time into making rosters to just lose everything. Aboslute awful choice to remove that.

I'm not a fan of a lot of the MLB rule changes and as a casual player, I've found offline DD more enjoyable than Franchise mode. If it's on Gamepass, I'll play it. If it isn't, I'll consider buying 22 if I wish to keep playing.

The game has no personality.
A roster update is not enough for a baseball game imo
RTTS is dull AF

For the love of Hova idk why there has never been a VR mode. More specifically a VR RTTS

For me it's a graphical overhaul, from the player models, uniforms, to the stadiums.

THIS!! I'm actually shocked it hasn't been added yet, they do a good job of telling you through the pop up information who was the MVP and stuff like that, but nothing about the champions is crazy.

I started a franchise in Show 17 or 18. I'm in Year 2025 on Show 20. I love everything about my little universe. I just finished updating every teams 2025 rosters.

Only thing that's gonna make me purchase Show 23 is if my PS4 dies and I can find a PS5 or it comes out on PC. Until then, I'm rocking with my franchise I've invested way to much time in.
