Won't rehash my post from last year but the game already allows you to have multiple franchises. There might be a cap now but multiple franchises is certainly there already.

Don't get me wrong though. I am not getting 23 as my want list is still long.

So do you mean you can only load 1 franchise?
You have to hit square button for more options on the main menu when franchise is highlighted.

I have rebuild files for the following teams all active on 22: Guardians, Cubs, A's, Orioles, Pirates, Diamondbacks, and Rockies.

I think there is a total file cap with rosters/sliders/franchises/RTTS. But I don't know. I currently have 7 roster files, 7 franchises, and 4 slider sets all saved.

Re: What do you need added to MLB 23 to purchase it?

I'm past the point of even trying to explain what needs to happen with this game. I've bought the game every year but the last few seasons I've barely made it a month into my franchise season before I'm bored beyond belief. It's the same game every year, I didn't want to believe it for a long time, but it is.

There's so much that needs to be done to franchise and I don't even have the energy to list it anymore. All sports games have become online, competitive, card collecting modes. And that's fine. It makes them money. It's a business. Us on here at OS are dinosaurs. I know, I'm a Debbie Downer here, but it's the truth. SDS does not care about offline franchise and hasn't for well over 10 years now. I'll be looking forward to Starfield (which just go a release date of 9/6). I'll miss The Show and maybe one day I'll be back when this game, "feels," new because I haven't played it in so long. As for this year, unless there's an actual, legitimate complete overhaul for the mode, I'm not buying it. I'm guessing that the interleague schedule won't change, which, to me would be the first sign they don't even care to mess with the mode.

There is no interleague schedule anymore in MLB and they already announced that the new schedule format where every team plays every team, will be in '23.

While I truly enjoy The Show every year ( even when i can’t stick with a franchise all year) I’m hoping the game continues to keep me engaged this year because Starfield looks so good.

Yeah everyone has their own thing. Franchise usually keeps me engaged the entire year. Any additions would be welcomed with open arms, but I have no problem cranking through franchise month after month and building my squad that inevitably falls short of the ultimate goal. LOL

                      LMAO....I feel the pain....

4 seasons complete in my O's franchise (currently midway through year 5):
                      3 ALDS appearances
                      2 ALCS appearances
                      no WS appearances.

And our contention cycle ends after year 6...

Yep....at the conclusion of the off-season, thru Spring Training, and early in the season I'm all excited about my team and what we may accomplish.

Then we start struggling, our season ends and I start thinking, what idiot put this team together? Then I realize its me so I blame the dog.

The new schedule format, new rules, is enough that I will get 23 on the 28th.

I haven't bought since they changed Road to the Show. if they brought back the old RTTS I'd finally give up MLB the Show 20.

right now, I've made my peace with being comfortable purchasing 23,
but for 24, if y2y saves don't return, I'll probably be going away from day one purchase
and wait for the first price reduction. I've been a steady early buyer since 2010,
but I'm at the point that with 10 years of Show games collected (14-23),
I have more than enough baseball variety to get me to a point
where I can treat my baseball gaming the way I do the rest of my sports video gaming:
                                a year behind
