This isn’t even an equipment thread and the three bad actors in here don’t speak for the majority of equipment gurus in the community. You three do however speak the loudest and most frequent. So congratulations are in order if that’s what you guys were going for?

No need for any of the three of you to respond, I’ve read you’re recycled talk tracks enough to have them memorized at this point. I’ll see myself out from this (hopefully closed soon) thread.

In honor of this thread, I took a side-by-side comparison of the NB Cleat in question and submitted a support ticket with my areas of concern.

Please keep us updated if you happen to receive a response.

Not sure if it's the same with MLB The Show, but a couple of years ago I was able to reach out to someone at NBA 2K regarding shoes and how they are added to the game. This was the response I received:

"I am greatly pleased to see your curiosity and inclination towards the NBA 2K Series and it's interaction with the shoes!

Here's how it works and when you will think about it, it's rather simple and win-win for all the parties! So, we know that the players and teams are already officially sponsored by these shoe brands. So, we just comply and we get the CAD (computer aided design) from them of the real shoes, the ones they want their players to sport! What they get from us, is their promotion and our gamers options to make their builds/players look slick!

It's same in other game genre too, where the automotive brands, they allow the use of their 3D versions of the cars, gun makers offering the same. And it goes on. You are getting the drift, right?"

So, I've always taken the approach that it's the brands providing the CAD and permission to the game studio to put in the game. I'll do some research and see if I can get a response from SDS Support.

I'd definitely be interested as well. It's clear the brands have some role in getting their models in the game and accurate, but I've never known how much of it is their responsibility (especially with the customization side of things). If you hear back from anyone at SDS please keep us posted!

SDS is really wearing me out with their lack of care at this point. I haven't played the game in probably a month.

Not really sure why you guys expected them to keep adding equipment all year? Last year it was mostly them re-adding equipment that was removed at launch (likely due to an issue meaning it all had to be redone). At this point, they're probably working on stuff for next year. I wouldn't expect much beyond the 4th of July and All-Star stuff at this point.

There's a Marucci glove with flames on it and an Absolutely Ridiculous[emoji2400] Rose Glove that I don't recall seeing before.
