Agree with you on this. The sound when you hit it on the screws it pops and sounds pretty awesome. I do feel something is little off and may need to be tweaked.

Negro League storyline mode is really engaging. Bob Kendrick is such a good story teller and his passion about this part of baseball history is evident. In most of the moments in Diamond Dynasty I find my self swinging at everything and mashing X to get through it as quickly as possible, but not for this mode. I've found myself really wanting to soak up every bit of the episode-specific commentary that Boog and Singy add. It's a really cool way to learn these stories

My biggest gripe right now is one that I had with the tech test and that is I don't like the new baserunning windows. I so wish we could have the option to return to the old style.

I'm sure I'll adapt but after numerous games since launch (nearly done with Spring Training) I still find myself looking in the upper left hand corner for the baserunning window for runners on first, and when I see it in the right hand corner I have to do a double take as to whether there's actually a runner on third.

Also when a runner is on second, the window causes a distraction as the runner takes steps towards third durng the windup, because I think the runner is breaking for third and distracts me from the meter.

I know the chances are slim they add the old style back in via patch or update, but man I'd be so happy if they did.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

So they changed quick counts feature a bit. Before you would be charged one less pitch towards your pitch count from where the count generated at. So a 1-1 start would only add one pitch to your pitch count. I always found this fair and kept it balanced. Well now it charges you every single pitch. So a 3-2 start adds 5 pitches to your total.

I was wondering why pitch counts were always in the 90s-100 range after 5ip nearly every game. I honestly am not liking this change as a QC user since they came out with the feature in 2014. I'm feeling forced to turn it off now. Took like 12-15 games before I realized they "fixed" this.

Only caveat is I plan to only play one game per series in my franchise so even playing with QC off I can get through a season.

The good and the bad so far

The bad since it is not much- Just some of the minor league player caps are really bad such as Brett Baty and Francisco Alvarez. Same as they had last year

The good- Game play to me feels super crisp. Hard to explain but just feels more fluent. Also the ball coming off the bat is also very smooth. Overall I am loving the game this year

I couldn't have said it any better. I've already had multiple issues forgetting there was even a runner on third. Fortunately, I'm only tinkering with exhibition games right now

I love this game and it doesn't bother me that it's not some kind of exponential leap from previous versions. This is baseball and there are only so many things you can do with it.

One thing I wish they could change is how foul balls down the right field and left field line are handled, both in terms of gameplay and commentary.

If the ball is going out of play the commentators immediately reference the new count before it goes out of play, while the fielders don't activate for us to move them ourselves.

I may be the only person who's bothered by this but I'd like to take control of my right fielder and run toward the foul line and track the ball until it does go out of play and I don't want to hear the commentators tell me it's out of play before that happens.

Maybe for most people this is an extremely small thing, but it frustrates me.

Obviously, rosters need a lot of work and I'm surprised by some of the poor likenesses with the Braves. These things will all get ironed out over time

Also a QC user as I can't get realistic pitch counts and draw enough walks without it (too impatient at the plate usually and usually don't throw enough balls pitching) ...

Unless they balance it out with adding in 0-0, 1-0 and 0-1 counts... which I never understood why those aren't in there for realism sake. The game would still move much faster with still having the ability at times to hit an actual first pitch hit, or having some 1-0/0-1 mixed in there.

They definitely added a lot of players specific commentary. I'm sure some of that will get repetitive over the course of the game, but so does commentary IRL (just not the exact same phrases over and over). The anecdotes feel like things announcers would bring up in a game

Commentary-wise, the best thing for me is only Sunday games and Wednesday games get commentary on. rest of the week, off. I feel like I can hear everything I need to in under 60 games.

Yeah I've been asking for random 0-0 generated counts for years now. Idk what to do this year. Only way to continue using QC is to raise pitcher stamina up to probably 7 or 8 at least. Pitch counts will be unrealistic but just gonna have to ignore that if we want to keep using QC. I just can't understand why after 9 years they decide to change how it works. It was perfect before, only need was a few more generated counts added in like you said.

Was the same exact thing on the Tech Test.

I reported on it….and why did they screw around with all the toggles. Makes zero sense what they did.

Oh well…one of several reasons we sat it out. The Tech Test was a good thing to help make my decision easier.
