Hahah, I am intrigued by them but not sure I want to play in NL East with my Mets in there.

We will see I am trying to stop the cycle and wait until I am sure. I gotta keep breaking down the final 4 teams today

I’ve restarted my Mets franchise after editing some contracts to prevent the game from being unplayable once I hit the off season after year 1. I’m off to a 4-0 start, hopefully this is my last franchise restart. Off to Milwaukee now

I’m not a good writer either that’s why I mainly just post stats and standings after each month lol

I write but I hate doing it. I honestly want to either just post stats and results or go with the more straight to the point writing like country does.

There are some who are gifted at it like drag. his nationals writeups got me through the off-season big time.

I find @JWDixon's google sheet (I've edited it to my own liking) keeps me engaged, and helps me keep track of everything, as opposed to writing a game summary here each time, and then wondering what happened a couple of months ago. Plus, the International Free Agent generator is hella fun.

Actually, I'm not sure how Washington's payroll is for '23, but I know in '22 it was much higher than the Pirates or A's, which definitely helped in the offseason going into 2023.

From what I know, which isn't much, their 2023 roster is pretty rough. I don't really follow them, but I would expect that if you attempt an honest rebuild with them your first season would be brutal. If you play every pitch of every game, it will really be a grind.

Yeah imagine if Cleveland had that payroll....

Also, not that I'm going to do it, but I've been thinking about the Pirates and what it would be like to do a franchise with them. I love that stadium and would love to develop a team around Oneil Cruz, but I'm too committed with Washington.

I find @JWDixon's google sheet (I've edited it to my own liking) keeps me engaged, and helps me keep track of everything, as opposed to writing a game summary here each time, and then wondering what happened a couple of months ago. Plus, the International Free Agent generator is hella fun.

I've been slacking on my spreadsheet, kind of. I wanted to update it at the All Star Break but my last update was at the beginning of July. It is nice to track all the numbers though.

Neither is Detroit really. They have spent money in the past. Also I really want to do non 30 team control but I have simmed a few seasons to see the trades and they are brutal if you can't control them

The Royals dismantle their team every trade deadline. This past sim they sent Witt Jr to Yankees for Devi Garcia LOL

Like the Royals are not trading Witt Jr, They even moved MJ Melendez. I was like what in the world

They keep trading Vinnie Pasquantino to the Angels for Chase Silseth in my franchise. I've had to fix it three times in just two days. Pasquantino is a beast in his second year, one of the AL leaders in home runs and RBIs.

I did a couple test franchises where I simmed a year and in one the Orioles were hell bent on trading for Scherzer. First they offered me a package with Ryan Mountcastle and then they came back with another offer for him that included Grayson Rodriguez. I also got offered Witt Jr for Verlander, I’m not sure what he’s done to piss off the front office in KC but it seems he’s traded in everyone’s franchise

Exactly and for a team that needs to win without a high payroll people like Pasq, Witt, Melendez they should never be dealt. Hence why I must always use 30 team control
