Agreed!! Their original color scheme of purple and teal was great. It was unique to them too. No other professional sports team rocked purple and teal as their primary colors. Then they did the 2007 rebrand to black and red and that worked too. That was great. I don't know why that wasn't good enough for them and why they've felt the need to make all these changes in recent years.


The uniqueness of uniforms is one of the reasons I was disappointed the Rays dumped black and green as their colors. Black and green are a color combo that you rarely see. Then they switched and adopted two different shades of blue and became just another team as far as uniforms go. They lost their uniqueness. Same with the Marlins original uniform colors.

I completely agree with all of this! The Marlins and DBacks original color scheme plus the Rays green and black gave them all a great, unique identity.

No other professional sports team rocked purple and teal as their primary colors.

It was nice, but there were others. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks wore teal and purple from 1993-2006. And the Charlotte Hornets did it from 1988-2002 (and then the New Orleans Hornets added gold, although also scaled back the purple).

While we’re on the topic, is SDS ever going to fix the problem of teams not automatically selecting their alternate/city connects this year?

This website didn’t update for 2023 is there any sites that is updated?

This site will update. But, it only updates a month at a time, with the newest update dropping sometime between the 6th to the 8th of every month. Hope that helps.

The color fits the region but it doesn't fit what the Diamondbacks do with their uniforms. I honestly don't know what they do with their uniforms because black and red are all over their uniforms and then there's just one lone uniform all by its self that has turquoise as it's secondary color to black. It just seems so out of place because it's not present anywhere else in their uniforms or logo.

Personally I wish they’d never got rid of the purple and turquoise. Black and red just seems so generic to me.

I think they changed it this year for some reason the decided to remove that feature of them auto picking uniforms and left it to us.

I don’t get that though. What’s even the point. If you wanted to pick your own uniforms you already could just change them. Seems like a pointless change

It's very likely a bug. Because, like you said, what would be the point of that change? Why would they take any time to do that when it has zero benefits?

I agree. I was just saying that when they did switch to black and red they did it right and it looked great. But now these last several years they keep changing this and changing that and now they have that one color that's only on their home uniform so it's completely out of place. If they had kept the 2007 uniforms they would still have some of the best uniforms in baseball.

I always thought the 07-15 set looked awful. I like the current set a lot better, even the now scrapped black/red home unis.

I'll be really surprised if the Diamondbacks don't have new uniforms for 2024 or 25 that add teal to the home and alt uniforms.

Question about the Twins uniforms. When they wear their navy blue jerseys at home, do they wear their TC caps, or their M caps? Have a series with them in Minnesota coming up and I’d like to have it accurate.

I believe they’ve been wearing their “TC” cap with their navy jersey at home.

From what I can find, it looks like they may have only worn the Navy jerseys at home once so far (last Saturday). But they wore the M caps but TC helmets.

This is from April 11, so I guess they mix and match the caps at home with the navy jersey.
