My reason too why I have not bought The Show since 22 it is just too many games and my time is limited. The main problem for me in the is the length of games. This looks to be fixed in this game with setting the number of innings. I don’t like swimming as someone said in another as I feel disjointed from my franchise and team. But with this number of innings settings I can shorter games and get more in. This has intrigued on getting this.

I think you might be misunderstanding what is being added. You can't change the number of innings that are being played. Every game is still 9 innings. You are just setting how frequently you are pulled into the simulation for specific moments. The innings thing they showed is a slider showing the earliest the game will pull you in (and there's also a leverage, essentially, slider). If you set it for the 3rd inning, it will never pull you in for the 1st or 2nd. If you set it for the 9th, it'll only bring you into the game in the 9th or later.

But they're still 9 inning games, it's just simulating the parts of the game you set. You can't set it up to just play 3 inning games and that's it. You can set it up so that you can essentially play 3 innings of every game, but the other 6 innings are simmed.

Not sure they would want Heyward, But the first two are a good start. Maybe add one more name with the first two that is young and its a deal. Trout has some money left on him I believe

Hey guys, didn't wanna start a separate thread for this, but was just wondering since we're talking about our teams and what-not, I was wondering how much (if any) do you sim vs play?

That's a whole lotta games to get through especially with Spring Training (which I like to play to evaluate my roster and bullpen)

So just wondering how you fellas handle the long season..my apologies if this in any way disrupts the original intention of this thread.

For me personally I play 1 Sim 2 in all my sports franchises until I get to playoffs the play 1 Sim 1. I want to have a feeling like I played but also want my stats not to look drastically different from cpu teams. Plus by simming some it makes it so I have to create a better team overall or my team might not ever win WS etc

I want to have a feeling like I played but also want my stats not to look drastically different from cpu teams. Plus by simming some it makes it so I have to create a better team overall or my team might not ever win WS etc

Yeah 2:1 sim to play is good in baseball. In NBA2K it's 1:1 for my taste, and never ever under any circumstances am I permitted to pull a football sim.

I have done different things over the years

Some years every inning and every pitch

One year of the game I did where I play opening day and then roll a 6 sided die and play whatever game it lands on and quick manage in between (Never just sim always quick manage)

One year I did if I win I get to play the next game until I lose, Then if I lose I have to quick manage and cant play again until the team wins (I play on max level with good sliders to make sure all my games are realistic. You will never see me winning it all or even making the playoffs every year. I hate unrealistic)

So many different systems. For this year I plan 30 team control. I am going to play every inning and ever game of my team, for the other teams I will let them run the show except I will monitor trades and reverse unrealistic, and I plan to quick manage all games for the entire league if they did not fix the bullpen logic issues.

I go back and forth. I like the idea of playing one, quick managing 5. But I really like playing them all. I just feel more connected to the team. I’ve also done where I play the first inning, then quick manage the pitching until the late innings. But, I usually just go back to playing out every inning.

Sometimes they make good moves like good GM's do. Sometimes they make GM's moves like the Mets. The thing that bugs me most is when you see one guy get stuck in a revolving door and keeps getting traded. But it doesn't bother me enough to use 30 team control. If Boston wants to screw up their team and trade Mookie Betts for a ball sack and a ball girl, I allow them to play out their deviant fantasies.

Its a mixed bag but sometimes it can kill a franchise. Like I once saw a week into the season the Yankees sent Judge to Oakland for two prospects. That would never happen. and a week into the season

This is why I use 30 team. I don't undo every cpu trade because I don't care that much, but the really strange trades I can't allow. So I undo those crazy ones.

Same, I admire the people like Countryboy who I know likes to let things unfold the way they unfold. I just do not have his strength to do it. It drives me bonkers.

Yeah either way to play is great. I'm just grateful that we have the 30 team option.

Wish they would just give us the option to veto trades. I just don’t want to get into 30 team control. I’m sure I’d start policing trades but end up overthinking the entire league, overseeing lineups, rotations call ups.


Just too much work.
