To think guys got banned over these “lazy” devs. These faces look outstanding, and the CAP faces got an overhaul. Creating players is going to be so improved. The overall look and feel and we don’t even see it on our TVs yet (hope everyone has a 4k).

I'm a bit perplexed why they waited so long to reveal this information. It's pretty standard these days to lead off with graphical improvements when showcasing game, then getting into the features as you approach the release. SDS obviously did that in the opposite order and some of the heat they got could have been avoided if they had done it the more common way.

Why do great bands save most of their best songs to the end? Because they've already got the audience and it's more satisfying when there's suspense and they finally drop.

The reactions here seem to justify that decision. Seems smart to me: release the divisive/minor changes early, then hit everyone with the big reasons why this game is worth buying closer to the release date. I love the approach myself. Even being pro Women Pave Their Way and all that, I was going to wait to buy. Now I think I need to get this at launch. They won!

There really doing the same with franchise like not 1 mention this entire time. I wonder if something is up there sleeves, there's been radio silence despite all the clamoring for info

It's more like the devs are trailing by 5 and we're past the 7th inning stretch. Their only chance at a comeback is overhauling the player models, bringing the grass rendering into the 21st century, redoing pitching animations, and/or drastically improving all textures.

Again, this is a nice step in the right direction, they deserve credit for improving the shaders, but this game is a long ways away from looking like a current gen AAA game.

Until they do all the above, the game is going to remain an entire generation behind graphically speaking at the very least. There are far too many things lacking that are standard in games these days. At least we can check a couple things off the list now, however.

Those face examples are nice, but man the video didn’t do the game any favours IMO. The game still looks identical, the faces still look flat in the video so Im not expecting any major jump to the game visually. I wouldn’t get too excited guys [emoji52]

It's a file download (zip file to be precise). You start the download, and when it finishes you open the file with a media player and watch.

Alternatively, it's probably been uploaded to youtube in full now (though that might be of lower quality than the original).

I give SDS credit for updating the faces. They do look better. Honestly this only moves the needle slightly for me. The jury is still out. Will wait and see what the stream tonight entails.
