Went back and double checked, they do show Kerry Carpenter, I somehow missed it. And it does look like he has a face scan this year. However, it was kind of hard to tell, but the giant bushes in right field may still be there.

You could see the clock on the wall in several shots on the ratings reveal. It’s definitely in.

The reactions here seem to justify that decision. Seems smart to me: release the divisive/minor changes early, then hit everyone with the big reasons why this game is worth buying closer to the release date. I love the approach myself. Even being pro Women Pave Their Way and all that, I was going to wait to buy. Now I think I need to get this at launch. They won!

That video was VERY compressed TBH. Even viewing it at 1080p, you can see the quality is not great. I wouldn't make any player face conclusions from that video.

Also, I think that SDS mentions that viewing from the player edit screen is best since it's a close up view and the players aren't wearing hats that cover up their forehead and hair. So you're seeing the best view.

AMEN to that, I feel like Brett is way off, Francisco is close. They even have Brett hair wrong. I wonder if to fix his they would need to go get a new face scan done?

That’s the case for any game though. In game you aren’t really seeing the player’s faces outside of a few closeups. Everything else is based on following the ball and the players are wearing caps, so going to be hard to see the changes from a distance in game outside of the walk ups and other close up shots.

As long as the portrait trick is still in, which I’m assuming it is, this is going to be a huge upgrade to the game for me.

The starting in fantasy draft and backing out thing to replace photos with 3D face models? Yea I'd imagine that will work for as long as fantasy draft exists (kinda has to seeing as that displaces the entire league's worth of players).

I'm considering doing this in my franchise this year. I do enjoy the actual pictures but them next to generic portraits doesn't look right and eventually half the league has them.

My only pet peeve is how the portraits have alternate jerseys on instead of home whites.

Still no minor leagues Out of Town Scores/Stats and Game Info Ticker like the MLB games eh? I wonder why they can never implement that feature in for minor league games and RTTS? Could be their decades old code won't allow it I guess....interesting.

Speaking of this, had anyone noticed that whatever uniform you last had equipped in the team select screen, that's what the players will be wearing in the lineup edit screen in roster edit? I have a feeling this may have been unintentional, but I really liked this.
