Honestly? The Show sucks, even when compared to trash like Madden. It is pathetic how little this game resembles real life.


Last good games of this franchise was during the PS3 era. With 2013 it's been downhill ever since.

I think the game has a lot of realistic tendencies. Also as you mentioned in another post has nothing to do with lazy devs. I am not sure why some think Devs decide what goes in a game all by themselves. Like they wake up and say "Lets put sponge bob in the game" and its a done deal. They have to talk to execs, marketing, lots of people are involved and then what is decided the devs do. I bet if you spoke to a dev they would tell you many ideas they have get shot down

Lazy is the totally wrong description. They just have different priorities from you about what it takes to put out a viable product. To use the description lazy, you would have to be in their studio observing them doing things like screwing around playing Fortnite or sleeping under their desk or hanging around the watercooler talking about Taylor Swift all day when they could be improving bullpen a.i. or making editable coaches. Have you been inside San Diego Studio lately? Or ever?

I'm that lazy. But I have been working on creating my own tabletop baseball game that incorporates Wheel Decide instead of rolling tumbling dice.

Growing up, I had a folding table that I played SOM on. I made cardboard cutouts of infields, both grass and astro turf cutouts. Those were some good times!

2K's franchise had VC components when they jumped to 8th Gen on 2K14. This was removed when they switched to MyLeague in 16. So he's not even wrong.

This was literally 10 years ago…. The subject on hand was the current NBA 2K franchise mode. He is wrong

But the reality is that 2K had VC in that mode and it was taken out (or perhaps more specifically, a new mode was made without it) because people didn't like it. What's your problem man? Is this not relevant to what's being discussed?

Look.....to me it's a weak discussion so I will stay out of it.

But 2K's My League/Era mode is the absolute gold standard in franchise modes on the PS5.

And hopefully we see a glorious return of dynasty mode on CFB 25.

I feel The Show's franchise mode could absolutely use some more depth but I still love it.

Until we get expanded rosters though....that depth some of us desire is not happening.

2K Era mode just took the game to a whole other level. It is fantastic. One of the best things I have ever seen put in a game.

And CFB 25 is shaping up to be an all-time great. if the game play is solid that game will be off the charts with what they have announced so far.

Here is to be hoping one day we do get a more in-depth franchise on the show. Even just adding larger minor league systems would be a big deal for many of us who focus on franchise.

The outfield urgency close to the wall looks really promising! This used to trigger a slow push to the wall to slow turn and throw.

This might just get me to pre order!
