What did everyone think of the new color scheme on the menus? Looked kind of white or maybe silver?



Simple thing but still a different look is always nice.

I really liked it actually. A nice change from the darker colors we've had in recent years. I haven't decided on if I like the font yet though.

I think you are the one out of touch in here.

It's been said a number of times on these boards that Y2Y is not something they can simply flip a switch and re-implement without batting an eye. There's a reason why no other sports games have attempted that feature. And it's also likely part of the reason why the mode became stagnant for so long, as they had to keep each new version compatible with the previous one.

You can certainly make the case that the minor updates to franchise since Y2Y have been taken out weren't worth the death of Y2Y, but Im confident that Y2Y saves are significantly harder to implement than you seem to think it is

Y2y saves were in the game prior to the addition of more consoles. It is obviously doable. They just don't want to spend the time to make it happen. Instead the program the mode to appeal to simmers. Amazing graphics and the program toward simmers.

I've faithfully bought the game for many years. I didn't quit them. They quit on me.

Personally I don’t like it. I prefer the black background. But having said that, it’s most certainly better than the blue used in ‘22

For me I just want shareable draft classes so we can play dynasty with classic rosters. I love some of the old school rosters but I’m a dynasty player not play now so I can’t use them because of generic rookies

Having worked on Madden rosters/franchises across multiple platforms, I'd have to respectfully disagree.

The files are merely data. Data linked in one way or another to other sets of data (stats, schedule, records...) Cosmetically (faces, gear..) yes, there can be issues. But nothing that can't be overcome.

From 19 to 20, rosters could be ported directly even with 3 roster spots added.

As I understand it, all 3 platforms now have a different programming language. I respect that may be the major issue here. But if I build a roster on PS5 or XBox, I struggle to understand how this data can't just be ported, considering I can transfer a Madden roster from PS2 to current gen PC with a few mouse clicks.

Earlier in the stream I heard them say that they have a plan for the game and have a direction. Were they talking about franchise or like the storylines?

The quote was said in context addressing what their goals are for The Show as a series.

"We're putting together what our north star looks like, "where do we want this product to go?" and we've created a direction, um, and there's no shortage, I mean "what does it look like 5, 7, 10 years out?", we're starting to get an idea....we know where we're going, and you'll see every decision we make is going to be driven by that...

...Every part of our game deserves love, and every part of our game will get love, and our north star map dictates that that will happen. From everything from when we're thinking about deeper mode depth, and the experience in that part of it, to playing the game your way...we want everything to be purposeful, and we do have a vision and a direction."

Underwhelming upgrades to Franchise but there were some good nuggets like the injuries rosters. I didn't expect much so they did mildly better than my low expectations.

I know some people were not that excited about the injury thing but I liked it, think it's better then seeing them in A Ball and having to manually do it . My only question would be normally you can only have 5 people on IL, what if a team has more ?

That's probably not any more likely to happen than people are to stop being triggered by people who take umbrage with th L word.

Good question. Doubt we'll find out before the game is in our hands at this point. I'm with you in I like the addition. It was a better feature than I expected.

Still, they are missing some many basic requests. It is amazing that things like Custom draft classes are still missing. No single As are being added. No mention of international free agent signings. Franchise is definitely their list important mode.

Well yeah I’ll buy it because I collect video games, especially baseball games. I own just about every baseball video game created.

Now whether I start over again or continue playing my franchise in ‘23 is currently TBD

I’m the same. I’ve already ordered it. And have no complaints about buying it.

I’m torn because I was never really able to get my franchise started in 23 until around Christmas. (Just a busy year). So, I’m not that far into it. But, I’m really enjoying where it is at. I do see things I like in the updates, but is there enough?

This is why I was really hoping for Y2Y saves to be back. I kinda wish they’d at least tell us what the future for Y2Y is. (After all, they keep putting in their FAQ). If they could tell us that it’ll be back next year, that would for sure help my decision.

Being able to start a Franchise with pre-existing injuries is an underrated feature. As long as it's implemented correctly.

I would also like to see them add the ability to start during the season too. Would be nice to pick up after the trade deadline and see if I can make a run for it.

I can’t say I’m a big fan yet. But, I’ll wait until I’m in the game to say for sure. Honestly, so long as I can read everything and fine everything, it doesn’t matter too much to me.
