I watched Mills stream last night and he said he 100% knows they touch logic every year but if they mention that kind of stuff during a stream that's a huge problem because it means they didnt do anything else.

That is good to know. Fixing bullpen usage and progression to me would be way more valuable than anything else

Pre-ordered last week and have no regrets.

Sure, I wish franchise got more love, but what's there will work for me. I never could find my groove with 23, so I need a fresh start.

1000% me as well, I will always buy it. Even if it was just a roster update I would pay. I might have some issues with things but at the end of the day I still support SDS and it is still my favorite sport to play

Reading the comments it seems a lot of us are like. Well its ok but we expected more. But we are all going to buy it right? So they will never do more when they are still selling it in boat loads

I won't buy it and I regret buying mlbts 23 and throwing away that franchise. They apparently thing franchise players are as shallow as rtts and other modes.

Look, they definitely didn't give franchise a ton of love in the feature premiere, but I think the attempt to streamline gameplay and make it more accessible to get through a full season are an attempt to get more people to play the mode. Who knows if it will actually work, but let's not act like anyone who doesn't have the time or interest in playing 162+ full 9 inning games is somehow "shallow"

I may have missed it in this thread, but it looks like postseason/World Series patches are now in on the jerseys at least. The clip of Sanchez vs. Freeman shows them on there.

Look, they definitely didn't give franchise a ton of love in the feature premiere, but I think the attempt to streamline gameplay and make it more accessible to get through a full season are an attempt to get more people to play the mode. Who knows if it will actually work, but let's not act like anyone who doesn't have the time or interest in playing 162+ full 9 inning games is somehow "shallow"

I think that is a GREAT addition to the game. They gave you a way to sort of make Franchise like march to October but still giving you the ability to completely control the minors which you cannot do in March to October. I think it's a great add that I have seen people been asking for something like it to a degree for some time.

Earlier in the stream I heard them say that they have a plan for the game and have a direction. Were they talking about franchise or like the storylines?

I was wondering that as well, I would say 100% for storyline they do. Did they not mention last year that storylines were a multi game thing? I believe next year will be some more negro league storylines as well. Franchise I am not sure. Is was very vague when he said it so could be everything could be some things. I feel like they are showing how much they care about storylines and side additions to the game so they definitely have long term plans for those.

Instead of fixing the problems in 9 inning games they shorten the games. I'll take a hard pass this year.

For all the time spent on nonsense they could have brought back y2y.

I get not wanting to buy it. I'm on the fence myself.

Y2Y saves was not coming back this year regardless of the other "nonsense" they spend their time on, though. It's been discussed before but that feature is more complex that you are making it out to be.

NBA2K did a great job with that. They are the gold standard when it comes to franchise/dynasty mode

Overall not overly impressed. I do like the things added to franchise, but wish there was more. I am really impressed with the presentation changes added and in particular the crowd noise and reactions which have been missing from previous years.
If done correctly the crowd reactions and noise will add a ton to gameplay.

One thing I noticed during some snippets of the gameplay was when there was a groundout that scored a run, the player that grounded out got high fives on his way back to the dugout. That was cool to see.
