For me today’s Feature Premiere was all about new additions to Presentation within the game. I was happy to hear more stadium exteriors are in the game. Unfortunately not for all MLB clubs nor did they confirm the number added. I do have to say I’m intrigued by new stadium sounds added along with enhanced crowd noice during key game situations.

One thing I picked up on during the scene with the Orioles playing in their black alternate uniforms was that the score bug color and logo matched that of the alternate uniform being worn. I will need to look into this further when the game comes out, but if this is the case then a great addition and one I would like to see across all the major pro sports franchises like Madden, NBA 2K, and EA NHL. I’ve also noticed at least one of the TV networks go with the retro logo on the score bug when the Eagles were wearing their Kelly Green retros. It just seems more appropriate and looks a lot better in my opinion.

Only negative I have from it . How hard is it to really allow editable coaches other sports games been doing this for YEARS. Also still no full a ball rosters

How did the new player faces look in the gameplay videos? Evident that its an upgrade or too hard to tell?

They are better, but hardly move the needle in the game IMO

I do not like the UI that they went with this year(way too much white), or font that they are using.

After this premiere I come away with mixed feelings. I like the new presenation elements, although I was hoping for a 3rd big league theme and got excited when they mentioned they had 8 this year, but that balloon was quickly deflated when the two major league themes were the same and found out the other 6 are 5 for the storylines modes and one for the minor leagues, which is cool with its own announcer.

I like how the game plays on the field as its essentially '23 with improvements to fielding and pitching was tinkered with, so couple that with the new presentation wipes, scorebug, and improved crowds (including signs) and I can find myself easily getting into a franchise in '24 and enjoying my time playing through it.

I like the additions, although few, to the franchise off the field, most notably the Prospect Promotion Incentive and player awards on cards. But..........unless Y2Y saves returns in '25, these new features lack "shelf life", for lack of better phrase, because I don't sim so therefore, the chances of truly appreciating the depth these award trackings can provide become short lived, unless I were to stick with '24.

There were a few things that I was so much hoping would be added to franchise this year, and to be honest PPI and player card awards were two things on said list, but not having editable coaches/managers, not having expanded ST rosters, not having expanded rosters overall, not having the ability (unless they just didn't mention it) to access prospects during the season anytime I want, instead of just on Sundays, not having seasonal history stat tracking (World Series Champions from beginning to present), amongst other things, really deflated my excitement. We are on the 4th installment of the game without Y2Y saves and when they overhauled the draft last year, I thought ok here we go, it may only be one significant feature per year, but at least we're moving on/catching up however you want to view it. But we got the draft overhaul last year and now this year, it seems we missed out on that one "big project".

I don't know, I just was hoping for more. And while I am sure that I will enjoy '24 when I got into playing it, starting over, again, is getting harder and harder to do. Because I miss out on seeing stories developing in my current franchise play out, and in a manner of speaking are doing the "been there done that" when it comes to the offseason because I experienced these players in free agency already.

I was really hoping to be all in on starting over with '24 because the gameplay, presentation, and franchise additions/improvements would leave me no choice, but as of now, I'm stuck in the middle trying to decide how to best spend my '24 vitrual baseball gaming season.

Great honest feedback here country, it’s a really tough sell to move on from 23 especially if you sank a ton of time into it. Just not enough IMO to upgrade to 24

Good question. I have a long list but some key features I feel like are overdue:

-Customizable draft classes

-Expanded Rosters (as you mentioned)

-Dynamic Progression (tired of every prospect developing)

-Dynamic Regression (regression is TERRIBLE)

-Player transaction history on player card

-AI Roster Logic (This one is tough but man there are realllly bad moves the AI makes)

-Custom rules (Like 2K)

-More advanced stats. OPS+, wRC+, Batted Ball data etc.

Yea Franchise mode will always be crap until they fix the progression and regression system along with the way guys develop and expand rosters

So I haven't watched it, but it seems like the pattern now was...

Big disappointment from most of the community the last few months...

New face scans revealed-huge lift to the community that we may be seeing some next gen elements...

Back to disappointment again after this premier...

That generally correct? I hope I'm wrong as I was really hoping to come on here and read a lot of positive thoughts.

That's been a longstanding issue with sports games overall.

A wishlist item I wish they had was instituting some form of quirk, or some quirks that can really help define the composition of the organization you are a part of. Like maybe a "Moneyball" quirk gives your org an boost in scouting or a boost in contract negotiation odds with a free agent, or a quirk like "Heavy Spender" where the AI for a GM is aggressive in signing guys with big contract deals, for example.

Just some ideas

Crazy thing is, they had this in 2k5. Big spender, penny pincher, crowd pleaser, etc.

Something equivalent to Madden’s new player tags would be nice for players as well or 2K Badges.

Players could prefer Warm weather states, teams with a winning history, just money etc.

The issue I have with situations is a lot of us use different sliders for simming vs playing and I don't see how critical situations would work with that. It would be cool if you could somehow tell the game "use THIS slider set for quick sim and THIS slider set for playing or watching the simulation."
