    Lack of strikeouts.

Franchise play .. I play hitting difficulty on All-star and pitching difficulty on Hof , Sliders are set to exactly what I had them at in 23... but Im getting far fewer strikeouts while pitching now . In 23, I would get anywhere from 8 - 12 strikeouts per 9 innings , sometimes less , sometimes more.

    Thru 10 games so far in 24 , Im getting 2 - 4 strikeouts per 9 innings.

Anyone else getting this , what adjustments should I make, if any .. or is 10 games played so far not enough to truly gauge if its an issue or not ?

    Re: Lack of strikeouts.

I would keep playing before trying to “adjust/fix” anything.

10 games imo is a far too few number of games to base anything as an issue or problem.

I’ll gladly accept fewer strikeouts than last year.

I played an exhibition game earlier today using the Braves with Chris Sale against the Pirates, (random opponent team) with default sliders (both pitch speeds were maxed) on HOF difficulty using classic pitching and timing batting. Sale had 10 strike outs in 7 innings, Minter had 2 in the 8th and 1 in the 9th. I won 10 - 2 with 12 hits, they had 4 hits.

No joke, cpu seem really good so far this release compared to last year. The game seems very well tuned out of the box.

This actually could be reason for me to buy if that’s the case

You gotta mix up your pitches well. Making them chase pitches.

A K/9 rating of 3 is not realistic, ESPECIALLY in today's baseball.

I stand by what I said. Last years strike out fiasco was nearly a game breaker for a lot of people.

It took me a month last year just to update my settings to get what felt realistic. This year after one weekend of playing on HOF with no slider adjustments, cpu hitting feels fantastic.

Just curious. Do you have the game?

I think the consensus has been that the repeated high K in the game are gone. He said he had his sliders set to what they were for ‘23. Were the sliders set to reduce the high number of Ks? If so, I would think they are doing just that.
If so, you don’t need to do that anymore.

                            Try default sliders all around.

I had the same problem last year. It’s gone now. I use CLASSIC pitching BALL FADE, clean screen.

Sliders can be your best friend, or your own worst enemy. Always best to start with default and work your way out instead of automatic setting them to previous years. Trying to cut corners can backfire and hinder progress. Go slow to go fast is the best advice to follow as a rule of thumb with sliders.
