LOL. Thanks guys for confirming that what I'm experiencing is not what I'm experiencing. This is the reason I just don't post here anymore.

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
Nobody said it's not what you're experiencing... but plenty of others, myself included, have no trouble striking out the cpu or making them swing and miss. It might be a you problem, but it's 100% not a game problem.Comment

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
I use QC for a couple of reasons .. one , because the games go by quicker. I play every game , and I don't simulate any. Plus, using QC , I walk more ( Im usually a free swinger , lol)... two, the pitch counts seem to end being more realistic.

I also use them and would have agreed with you prior to the -1 being removed from the total pitch count last year. Now I find I need more extreme slider adjustments (starter stamina maxed ++ and manger hook dropped ) or else pitchers who are absolutely cruising will get taken out much earlier than they would in real life as they reach 100 pitches much faster.Comment

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
Just like there were posts earlier about a scheduling bug similar to '21 that's in the new game, which also isn't true and would be confusing to someone who is considering whether or not to buy the game.
Maybe just re-wording it or asking in the Q and A thread would have gotten a different response.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
First game of MLB The Show 24: struck out two of the first three hitters I faced. Default HOF. Made me think of this thread. Have a good season, everyone.Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.Comment

Lack of strikeouts.
Just had 11 K’s with Manoah last night against the Astros on default hall of fame. Not using quick counts though. Not a big fan of using it.

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
Your post isn't a question to the group about what you're experiencing. Your post just states that it's not possible to strike out the cpu swinging and that it's a functional part of '24. which isn't true and would be confusing for someone who might be on the fence about buying the game.

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
There is an issue with inaccurate scheduling with some teams home games. It isn't as bad as 21 which was clarified, but it is there. Saying it isn't true isn't exactly true either. I'm not trying to argue but there's no need to discredit what I looked at with my own eyes.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
I've noticed the lack of strikeouts. It's because the CPU makes contact (foul off or hit) everytime they swing. The only strikeouts I get are when the CPU does not swing. This is the main difference from last year. It's the same with the player too. Unless I completely mess up and swing way to late or early I almost always make some contact. Not real sure how to correct it with sliders. Someone like Strider is not very intimidating in this game because whiff rate is not a thing. This is on HOF hitting/pitching.Comment

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
Boy I sure hope you're right with lack of strikeouts! Getting an easy 12-15 per game last year was no fun.

Re: Lack of strikeouts.
I've noticed this too, I started to tinker just cause that's what I'm used to lol (started getting too many strikeouts)... default HOF is the best for hit variety, walks and better strikeout numbers...Toronto Maple Leafs
