Some of us don’t need to raise sliders. CPU offense just fine at default

The puzzle is if you have to raise the sliders to 10 to get the get offense out of the CPU then raising them to 9 doesn’t have an effect?Comment

That’s cool, hence my ask for an additional difficulty for those who want something more challengingComment

Really hoping one day they add a new difficulty. Too bad they aren’t on these forums like the old days, as it’s rather difficult to pass on suggestions or requests.Comment

And you can leave feedback (suggestions/requests) on their website.

If anyone needs more of a challenge pitching it seems that you have to use classic. Analog/Meter/Pinpoint all just too dominate and the perfect pitches (or goods) just trump the cpu at the plate way more than it should.
I can't stand classic pitching at all personally, just looks and feels bad IMO. So I just quick sim innings I'm on the mound or just pitch every other inning on Legend + now and then.
Classic Pitching for sure works with getting the cpu going at the plate, just not my cup of tea. But SDS needs to do something so we can use other methods of pitching and get a challenge out of the cpu.Twitch

Raising contact to 10 may work, or at least help a lot. But then raising power and it's probably going to become a strikeout, homerun, or double nearly every at bat. Then I'm back to last year with high strikeouts and CPU BABIP is pushing closer to .400 than anything. That is extremely boring to play that way, which is what I feel now.
This will never get fixed unless they completely changed the game itself. The CPU has always been very poor with plate discipline and overall bad timing. Never irl do we see someone way early on a 98mph pitch, but in this game we do quite often. Best way to fix this is to increase foul balls, which is what we had. Once that is gone the CPU has no chance to compete vs players who have been pitching to literally the same AI for 10+ years.

I do use classic pitching. Always have. I have been locked in with CPU contact at 6, with timing and solid hits at 7 for a long time now and it provided near perfect results. I really couldn't ask for better. Then for the second straight year they break the game with decreasing foul balls.

I won 10 games in a row and was 10.5 games up in the NL Central on simulation/dd and PP pitching, so the move to COMP has really made pitching much tougher for me and my skill level with PP.
I forget who posted the difficulty differences between sim and comp, but it's definitely more challenging on comp vs sim. I still see injuries/errors and all that.Comment
