    The outer portion of the PCI will be smaller and very early and very late timing will result in misses instead of having a slight chance of contact.

    However there are fewer pop ups and choppers and hits put into play will be slightly better to make up for fewer balls being put into play

      Three games since this patch and my pitchers have struck out 41 batters. It has screwed up the QC players.
      If I uninstall the game and reinstall it, will my roster still be saved?

        I put in another thread that after yesterdays patch everything reset. All my settings I mean. Put everything back exactly as I had it before. I had upped the foul frequency for the CPU and offense for the CPU had been fine. Just as it had been pre patch 12. 4 games since everything reset and I’ve thrown 3 straight shut outs, to the Orioles no less, and have given up just 2 runs. The 2 runs I have up were in the 8th with my 72 rated 5 starter that took a 1 hitter that far. For context I’d had 2 shut outs total in the entirety of this games existence before that. I don’t know WTF has happened since yesterday but the CPU offense is gone now.

          I have the CPU set at 7 contact, 6 power and 6 solid. I have given up 4 runs in 3 games. This is using classic pitching with consistency at 4 and playing on Legend. Almost considering going back to 20. I played HOF level on it and the CPU could score plus you didn’t average 14 strikeouts per game.
          They have certainly dialed out the game with this for me.

            Mine was fine after patch 12. It was after everything reset on me that things got weird. I can’t imagine any patch has anything to do with it but it’s very odd that CPU offense would just disappear overnight.

                  100% they can’t hit at all now since the patch .. no idea how they are worse

                    Just curious. To see if it’s not fixable why not run all the CPU sliders to 10? See what happens. Wouldn’t hurt.

                      I took Jcar’s advice on turning up foul frequency to 8. Seems like it has helped on reducing the strikeouts some. I have contact @ 7, power @ 6, solid hits at 6.
                      I haven’t completed a game with these settings yet but I have made it through 5 innings I have allowed 5 hits and struck out 4.
                      They still haven’t scored yet but I am playing against the Angels. I’m looking forward to an upcoming series with the Yankees, should be a good indicator. I think I have a series against the Royals next and then the Yankees.

                        That's not quite what I suggested, I said contact and power up to 8 or higher, and all other CPU hitting at default 5. Seems to work well this way. I really don't think higher foul frequency helps. Boosting the contact and power, cpu will still strikeout, but they'll be harder to shut down for 9 innings.

                          Raising foul frequency doesn’t help the strikeouts. It might actually make it worse in a way. They will just foul off more pitches before they eventually strikeout. We just need those fouls to be in play.

                          On HOF, I’ve tried contact at 10 and power at 5/6 and the strikeouts seem a little more under control but with the contact at 10, they get a lot of singles. I’ve tested a handful of games with that and they get about 10-13 hits with most being singles.

                          I’ wonder what contact 8, power 5, and timing at 8 would work.

                            I have contact and power at 8 and everything at default and so far I'm getting a ton of variety and holding the cpu down for 9 innings is a struggle.

                              Man it’s so frustrating it’s so hard to find a proper balance with this game… really sucks

                                That doesn’t surprise me, I have been misreading stuff for awhile and it seems to be getting worse.
                                New meds maybe?
