As a person interested in historic baseball players and stadiums I would like to see the following changes:

1. A major effort to add back into the game a significant number of the last names lost in the change to a new announcer team. In this regard I note that there are many names which have been added and used by the announcers when playing with current rosters whose names are not in the last name database. The hard part I would think would be to get the announcers to say the name. It should be possible for someone to work with these files to isolate the last names and add them to the database.
2. Add to Stadium Creator parts for building old fashion turn of the Century (1900) wooden stadiums. These stadiums did not have big concourses like stadiums today.
3. Make it possible to use Face Scan to scan photos of historic players for creating players for use in Franchise. I was able to do this, with some difficulty of John Clarkson, but could only use him in RTTS.

Here is my wishlist items:

1. Release only on current gen consoles (Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC)

2. Presentation
- graphical upgrade on the grass and dirt, even player models
- update the stadium skylines in the outfield, especially the "crooked" St. Louis Gateway
Arch
- ALL MLB STADIUMS have outside stadium cutscenes with more added for each
ballpark
- Multiple announcing crews - now the standard in major sports games
- More in-game highlights like "the Rawlings Fielding Play of the Game" in the 8th
inning or "MLB The Show Look Around The MLB" in the 5th Inning showing current
MLB highlights in of course MLB the Show graphics
- On field reporter like Ken Rosenthal adding in-game depth
- All closers get their "special" introduction. Even if their walk-up song can't get the
licensing, then use a generic song

3. Franchise
- Ability to shorten season i.e. 81, 60 or 30 game season
- Correct the logo upload/download issue. Would like to change Rays logo to their
2007 green Rays version, but the logo won't download and apparently this is a
common issue.

#3 this would be welcomed by many.

Good idea plus their 'Baggy Uniforms ' are beautifully done It would be a great addition to franchise.

1. Actually, I discovered one can play in Franchise using the old Negro League stadiums, but with modern crowds. It would be great if we could use these stadiums with "historically dressed" crowds or fans. This same comment goes with my previous comment regarding sections for turn of the Century stadium sections.

2. In regard to using Face Scan with photos of historic players, I took a straight on looking picture of John Clarkson, printed it as, a full page and then used Face Scan to create the player's face in the game. Taking the Face scan was tricky. Then just a bit of clean up.

Franchise mode needs batting practice
I should not see Mlb 24 in 2040


RTTS needs personality and more user control
1. I need to decide if i want to pimp HRs.
2. Argue bad calls
3. Rivalries. Villain or fan favorite
4. Make a running bases option like Madden 40 yard dash. This can add some funny moments if you choose to not run hard
5. Voice overs
6. The ability to move in the box. The ability to move wherever (no force field)
7. When not in play i should be able to move in the dugout and talk to my teammates. I can look at film on a tablet and ask what my teammates what they see from the pitcher

I would add more but i know none this is possible

Two Way player in RTTS is nice when you're a starting P. Can still hit when you're pitching. As a closer it blows since you can't hit when you're closing. Don't know why they won't allow this. Even IRL you can pitch late in a game after playing SS for example. So I go 3-4 games with no hitting.

Btw, 3 unsuccessful pickoff attempts does not result in a balk. They mention it but it doesn't happen.

And why does no one ever miss a popup or flyball? I mean it does happen irl. P don't throw wild pitches past the catcher. IF are always accurate when throwing to 1B.

Oh and 1 play through as a RF my guy had 12 outfield assists by mid may. The AI players are just way too aggressive.

And since forever if I score on a hit and another runner is trying to score my guy doesn't tell him to slide or stand up, he just walks back to the dugout before the guy even gets to home plate. How ridiculous is that.

Improve Franchise gameplay.

Trade logic is better but still needs work

Improve player ratings so they progress and regress more realistically. The way NBA 2K does their player rating system is perfect.

Increase the roster size to give a full single A roster even if we can't play A games. MVP Baseball was able to do that in 04 there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to get it 20 years later.

I would love to see real minor league stadiums and less of the generic ones.

Yeah, I know nothing of 1 but 2 is, you have to export a player from within franchise mode with enough simmed stats to get him over the rookie qualification threshold, then adjust his service time accordingly.

That's done on Tommy's calculator I have been using for my college rosters

One thing i think should be easy to do is have a mode where you cant skip anything. I want to play a entire game in real time.

RTTS again: When I'm on base the batter starts with 1-1 almost always. I don't have much of a problem with that but the next pitch is never put in play, ever. Striking strike, called strike, occasional foul and maybe a ball (rarely) but the dude never hits it fair. He doesn't even hit a pop up in foul territory.

That has to change for reality sake. Btw, the batter never starts at 3-0 or 3-2 or 3-1. Always 1-1, occasional 2-1, 1-2 and once I saw 0-0.

Btw, never get drafted by the A's. Holy crap.

This is probably brought up a lot but fix the excessive bunting by the AI. Power hitters bunting on 2 strikes down 6-0 late. I mean what the heck. It ruins 3B. Just ruins it. MIF are basically the only positions to play anymore.

Really hope they add LEAGUE LEADERS back to the ticker during played games. Miss seeing the top 5 of certain statistical categories during games.

if they need to replace something, please get rid of the fantasy player thing, or whatever it is.

Another thing I hope is looked into is the home/away scheduling for interleague games. In '24 I didn't play at the Rays until Year 5 of the franchise. In '23 I didn't play at the Red Sox but once every 5 years.

Hoping they can adjust it to alternate home/away each year, or at least make it so that you play at least twice on the road versus a team in the 5 year span.
