I want a second broadcast team. One that tries to emulate a hometown bias regional sports network crew. The RSN style broadcasts presentation is great (although they need to remove the graphic that celebrates the other team winning) but having the RSN broadcasters would bring it to the next level.

Cold games let's see breath and snow flurries.
AstroTurf infields option in ballpark creation
Something similar to nba2k Myera perhaps 3 different eras:
Pre 1969 no divisions just American and national leagues
1969-4 divisions with the LCS
1995- Addition of wildcards.
Have era appropriate rules, schedules, and play styles. They call me Mr. Thread CoolerComment

Ability to continue editing your rebrand during the season. Also, the ability to edit your minor league teams.

Re: MLB The Show 25 Wishlist
MLB 24 was a great game for me. I've had a lot of fun with my franchise/rtts and am excited to see what MLB 25 has in store for us all.
I am definitely not expecting any major overhauls to franchise. It's clear they have the desire but may lack time and resources necessary to pull off some of the ground-breaking features others are hoping for.
For me, here's my wish list for MLB 25 and beyond
1. Hide Potentials - While playing Madden, you can draft a QB and not know his true "potential" until they've played a full season. The idea of trading an aging veteran away for a B potential SS is a no-brainer in this game but it's not realistic at all. You should have to evaluate a player's current attributes, minor league statistics and progression to determine if they have a high potential or will be a bust.
The fog of war in the draft is great but knowing a player's potential and basically learning their career trajectory instantly takes the fun out of developing and finding diamonds in the rough.
If I want to trade with a team, I should have to spend "scouting points" on a player for a week and learn his full attributes and potential, instead of it being right at the forefront of negotiations.
2. Jersey # - Remove the OVR criteria and replace with team/league tenure. I despise seeing Clayton Kershaw's #22 being put on some rookie while Kershaw's OVR is decreasing as his HoF career winds down. It defaults to higher OVR and that should be changed to whoever was on the team first/in the league longer.
3. Retire Jersey # - Piggy backing off of the previous point, once Clayton Kershaw retires, we should never see a Dodger wear # 22 in game again. It's so weird playing the Cardinals and someone is wearing # 5. But it's also hard to manually keep up with all 30 teams retired and soon to be retired #s. I want the ability to manually retire a number at any point in my franchise. Of course, you'll have to limit this to only allowing you to retire up to 74 retired numbers to allow all 26-man roster to have a number.
4. 6-Man/4-Man Pitching Rotations - With this becoming more prevalent in current MLB, it'd be great to have this option. It could be a team by team setting in the Rotation screen, so it doesn't mess with depth charts and pitching matchups. Furthermore, 4-Man rotations in the Playoffs would be a huge quality of life upgrade.
5. Custom Draft Classes - The amount of time I spend each offseason manually editing drafted players to make them more realistic is tiring. Making sure a Starting/Relief Pitcher isn't # 1, making sure a 1B isn't 5'8" tall, getting rid of the horrendous facial hair combos and mismatching equipment and old -fashioned cleats or generic batting gloves.
There are so many customizable options in the game, which is great, but when all of these options are available in a computer-generated draft class can result in some crazy looking players. I manually will edit all rookies to make them look respectable. Custom draft classes can really help with this by opening it up to the community.
6. Editable/Revamped Coaching Staff - Some of these coaches SUCK and would ruin any roster they manage, it's hard to believe they get paid to do what they do. However, do they even make an impact on their roster/organization? Does a farm director really increase the system's Contact by +2 every season?? Does a pitching coach really increase command +1 while also lowering BB/9 -2 every season? It makes absolutely no sense.
Coaches in real life can turn a player's career around while another manager can destroy a player's confidence and tank an organization and set them back 5 years because of the culture.
The coaches look as abominable and some of the computer-generated drafted players except there's no way to remove their Rollie Fingers mustache and chops.
MLBTS is a game I play from release day to release day; my franchise is my baby for the year. These little tweaks will make me a happy gamer until next year's game.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 25 Wishlist
Franchise needs computer generated City connect jerseys. I should not be in year 2030 with the same ones for 5 years in a row.
Also each season make a big deal out of someone getting the cover. But then again SD would never do that lolComment

Re: A WishList - MLBTS25.
Have you maxed down the human pitching control sliders to zero, maxed the cpu hitting contact to ten, on legend? Also, I feel you on the HR cam.T-BONE.

Re: A WishList - MLBTS25.
Yes I actually have and it manageable.. the problem with maxing them to ten is that every hit is a line drive. Kills all the hit variety.
The main problem i find is their chase rate.. they appear to chase on average around 50% which is a big issue. I use pinpoint with control and consistency at 0Comment

Re: MLB The Show 25 Wishlist
I kind of wish they would make All-Time teams for every franchise. They already have so many legends in the game, why not just make an All-Time 40-man team for every franchise. It would also be cool to have an All-Time Negro League team on top of that. In doing so, I would hope they keep the ability to easily transfer players between teams, as well as, just swapping teams out in Franchise Mode. I quite enjoy playing with the All-Time teams in NBA2K, and enjoy the history of sports teams and baseball has such a rich history, so why not explore it a bit further?Last edited by Jackalope17; 01-17-2025, 09:19 PM.Comment
