SEVERE lack of home runs. Assistance needed

What’s up yall?! So as most of us know exit velod are down from last years game. The timing window is smaller, and home runs seem few and far between for most. I’m someone who played on AS hitting for years and Legend pitching with power up +1 for both myself and the cpu. I’ve messed around with all the hitting sliders and regardless still get way too much weak contact on both sides, and a lack of power more for me then the cpu. What sliders can i improve to help with home runs and less weak contact? Solid hits? Admittedly with the consistent weak contact and severe lack of power and horrid timing on both ends it makes the game very boring. The amount of weak contact good timings ive had wit pitches right down the plate is insane.

For my hitting, I'm on hall of fame and timing window, exit velo, power has definitely NOT been an issue in the first month of my franchise vs the CPU using default sliders. I'm using timing hitting. What hitting type are you using?

      Experiencing the same.

I use timing with PCI guess pitch. Call it what you will, but that's how I have played the game for as long as I can remember. I normally progress to Vet+ and turn off the dynamic progression, so I stay there.

For me, at that level, it's competitive. I win, I lose, ups/downs the whole 9 yards.

So far this cycle, im stuck at Rookie+. I am 30 complete random franchise games in so far, and I have not hit a single home run. I can play small ball to the tune of 4.3 runs per game, so you can say the hits are still there....well kinda. In 20 of the 30 games (i noticed i had not hit a home run or many XBH's so I started tracking about 10 games in) I averaged 7.4 hits per game, with only 7 XBH's. 7 extra bases in nearly 148 hits.

I normally get "Good" timing, yet weak contact. Like the OP said, even with a potato right down the middle you can bet on a pop-up, or a fly out.Sure, not everything is gonna be crushed, but come on. I even line up a perfect-perfect on a power swing, and it's a fly out on the warning track.

Im sure ill figure it out at some point, but if anyone wants to chim in, please do.

I'm not noticing a lack of HR. Hitting seems great to me.

Yankees, with timing hitting. Results have been realistic. My power hitters hit home runs, my contact hitters typically don't. It's been much more realistic this year than in past years. Last year it seemed like everything off the bat was 115 mph. So, that needed to be toned down. I usually hit 1-3 home runs a game. Of course I've had a few games where I didn't hit any, but that should be expected.

              Might be my issue.

Im in year 2 of my Red Sox franchise, and im ranked 15th in power. Only added Vladdy Jr to my team in terms of a power hitter. Guess ill have to add a power bat or two to see if that helps.

Timing. And through 10 games of my yankee franchise i hit 7 home runs in 10 games (4 from judge) But there’s so much weak contact and infield fly outs right down the middle

I don't know how far along in the season you are, but keep in mind that the game is designed to have hot and cold streaks. Like you'll have players that can't hit for weeks and then suddenly go on a tear, and vice versa, even with perfect timing on easy pitches to hit. They try to emulate real baseball in this sense. If you have already considered that, then disregard....

From my experience timing up 1 makes it too easy to get hits. Contact up 1 doesn’t do much. Power up 1 doesn’t make more home runs. I don’t know what to do either. Honestly might just shelve the game. It just doesn’t play great at all

Last year I played with the timing slider at 6 and foul frequency at 4. Those are the only changes I made to hitting.

Don't get me wrong, I am getting hits, but not a decent variety. Most bloop singles and worm burners. Once in awhile I'll rocket one for a double.

I guess ill keep chasing that first home run when I get home from work.

If anything I am trying to lower my HR in games. I am playing on all-star for hitting and HOF for pitching. I am averaging around 5 HR per game. either I am hitting 3 and the other team 2 or the other way around. I have adjusted the sliders down two clicks to the left for power. It has helped some.

I'm not having a problem hitting them with Goldy and Belinger. Jazz has hit a couple. Wells has hit a couple. I've hit quite a few with Dominguez too. Of course Judge hits more than anyone but that's to be expected. I don't know, I'm just not seeing an issue. There were way too many home runs the last few years, and they were way too easy to hit. Teams shouldn't be hitting 5 and 6 home runs a game. You mentioned Goldschmidt not hitting, IRL he only had 22 last year, so he shouldn't realistically be hitting a ton of them. I think people got so used to having home run derby games the last few years that this year seems broken, when it's actually more realistic.

I’m using Zone hitting on Legend with default sliders and my HR numbers are pretty realistic using a few teams to test out. I’m the Mets in my franchise but I’ve messed around with other teams in Play now and I’m hitting anywhere from 1-5 HRs a game.

Do you have feedback on to see what the timing says on your hits? I’ve never used timing hitting before so I’m not sure how much of a difference the timing makes for different type of hits, but I know on zone a slight timing difference can make a huge difference in contact.
