Call me Goldilocks because I'm not seeing too many, not seeing too few. But then again, Dynamic Difficulty will do that.

I just double checked my team stats. Through seven games my Mets are batting .293 with 12 HRs. I'm on simulation using dynamic and timing. First two games were on Veteran level and been All Star since.

When I go back to Legend before I re-adjust, I’m behind so being late is causing the weak contact.

So just find out if you are early or late and go from there. I’d say you are most likely a little too early and ahead so the contact will be a little weaker. Again I use PCI so not sure if that’s entirely it, but it sounds like you may need to wait on the pitch just a little more.
I mean obviously it varies but most of my good timing is weak contact. I’ll have good timing good contact but fly out to the infield 3 at bats in a row. It’s ridiculous. I use timing instead of pci but it feels like timing is nerfed into the ground

My last game I scored 6 runs on 12 hits with 2 home runs. Like I said I use timing hitting on allstar difficulty with default sliders.

[QUOTE=jcar0725;2051055323]I don't know how far along in the season you are, but keep in mind that the game is designed to have hot and cold streaks. Like you'll have players that can't hit for weeks and then suddenly go on a tear, and vice versa, even with perfect timing on easy pitches to hit. They try to emulate real baseball in this sense. If you have already considered that, then disregard

This is so true. I get a distinct feeling that this year, you have to really be patient and try to set ptichers up. If I'm not focused or not taking enough time during an at bat to "work the count," my hitting falls way off. I'm not talking stick skills at all because mine are terrible.

Hitting the fastball is key but it has to be anticipated or there is no way to hit it. I play on HOF, directional hitting. Just because a pitch is a strike doesn't mean it's a good pitch to hit. I realized I was swinging at too many "bad" strikes and missing out on the good ones right down the middle. I think most of us know this but it's hard to stick to in a video game due to time.

I'm getting more solid contact than ever and my power issues pretty much disappeared after I committed to this approach. Not talking down to anyone because we all play differently I can't play a good franchise in Madden or NBA because, honestly, I don't know the intricacies of those games like I do baseball. That's what comes with "realism" in sports video games.

I see you are using directional, are you "influencing" a direction on every pitch? Because that can make it much harder to hit.

                Well, it happened....finally.

Hit a moon shot at Coors with Bregman last night.

I had a sort of coming out game as well. Had 2 doubles, and even hit a triple with Devers of all players.

Not everytime but in an advantageous count I might. It really has a lot to do with situatiion also (trying to move runners, etc or trying to get a fly ball). The focus, swinging at good strikes and working the count are the most important IMO.

Another helpful thing is that focusing on the realism/randomness the game brings is a definite help with sliders. If you try to adjust sliders on a game to game basis, the tedium will never end. When you fully play out 25 or so games you will see all kinds of different results (which, in the past would have caused a slider nightmare). Once you get it kind of figured out, sliders are done. It's made a huge improvement with my enjoyment of the game instead of frustration with sliders.

Thankfully this is the one sports game I don’t need to touch sliders to enjoy.

Ok, so im starting to think dynamic difficulty is busted.

I manually changed to vet hitting, and now I'm raking.

                          What gives?

I'm on DD (think I'm at Vet+) and hit 3 HRs in the Orioles season opener - lost 5-4.

I'm leading the NL in homeruns on timing hitting, although I swing at pretty much every pitch so I lead the league in strikeouts too
