I’m using Zone hitting on Legend with default sliders and my HR numbers are pretty realistic using a few teams to test out. I’m the Mets in my franchise but I’ve messed around with other teams in Play now and I’m hitting anywhere from 1-5 HRs a game.

Do you have feedback on to see what the timing says on your hits? I’ve never used timing hitting before so I’m not sure how much of a difference the timing makes for different type of hits, but I know on zone a slight timing difference can make a huge difference in contact.

90% of my contact is “weak”. The timing window is so small. But if i move it up a click bite too easy. So i move power up 1….but it doesn’t do anything.

Yankees, with timing hitting. Results have been realistic. My power hitters hit home runs, my contact hitters typically don't. It's been much more realistic this year than in past years. Last year it seemed like everything off the bat was 115 mph. So, that needed to be toned down. I usually hit 1-3 home runs a game. Of course I've had a few games where I didn't hit any, but that should be expected.

The difficulty of hitting has absolutely ramped up and I love it. Far more realistic than it ever has been in a very long time....I am talking I have not felt this way about my battles at the dish since MLB 11 and 12. It's been that long.

HOF Directional hitting zero aides...clean screen hitting.

It's nirvana for me.

I have hit 14 HR's thru May 4th with Judge and 7 with Belli.

My power guys are doing fine. In fact I had hit a HR in 6 consecutive games with Judge this season....was pretty awesome watching that storyline unfold pre game.

Pitch recognition is major this cycle. Try a different batting view. Catcher Near is a great view. I do well just using Normal contact swings on directional hitting. But cutting down on all the other "video game" devices while hitting helps with just concentrating on the pitch recognition

My biggest issue is hitting as a whole. When i time the pitch right it’s constant weak contact. There’s NO homeruns either. Hitting just feels dead. I use the zoom camera and it’s worked for years. Maybe i switch it now

i wish i was having the fun you are. Hitting just feels so dead to me. No matter what sliders i mess with (even tried using yours) there’s no semblance of power no matter what u use, who i use, my timing etc. played this game for years with no issues…all of a sudden its terrible

I have hitting difficulty at HOF on default sliders. Using zone hitting I'm definitely not seeing any shortage of home runs using the Padres.

Yesterday I switched from simulation to competitive gameplay (the rest of my settings the same) and noticed an immediate difference.

Only played the one game but quickly rose up to veteran.

Small sample but I will continue on competitive and see how it plays out.

There are so many different settings and sliders and we’re all using different teams it’s difficult to compare with other players IMO.

Using Mets with timing on simulation I’m doing fine. I got about 10 HRs after seven games. I’m on Dynamic, started on Veteran and went up to All Star after two games.

HOF, default sliders, timing hitting. I’m in an awful slump. Record is 7-9. It’s me, tho. May need to make a minor slider adjustment, or just ride it out.

Is it weak because you are hitting early or late? That makes the difference. When I’m playing on lower difficulty levels for single player DD, I’m usually way too early because I’m used to the faster speeds so my contact is weak. When I go back to Legend before I re-adjust, I’m behind so being late is causing the weak contact.

So just find out if you are early or late and go from there. I’d say you are most likely a little too early and ahead so the contact will be a little weaker. Again I use PCI so not sure if that’s entirely it, but it sounds like you may need to wait on the pitch just a little more.

I’d also say that I do find the hitting to actually be a little easier on All-Star than I do on Veteran, but that’s just because the PCI is smaller and I can get the center to the ball easier. Wondering if actually going up one difficulty for timing may help the issue too.

Doubt anyone cares but I feel like power has been the most consistent and balanced since the GOAT MLB 20. This is actually the best playing Show since 20 in my opinion, I wouldn't change a thing.

What difference do you notice in competitive?

Might be placebo but feels like my hitters make more solid contact. As I understand it competitive relies more on my input than ratings so as long as my timing is good I get better contact.
On simulation I m guessing even good timing with a poorly rated hitter could just lead to a popup or even a swing and miss.

Honestly not really sure as I have only played a couple games on competitive.


I do play conquest games as well and have success and DD is purely on competitive setting.
