Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
Yea I thought the same thing at first but you end up playing what ever team took over the stronghold but it still counts as the original teams stronghold“Baseball is a game, yes. It is also a business. But what is most truly is is disguised combat. For all its gentility, its almost leisurely pace, baseball is violence under wraps.” -Willie Mays (The Say Hey Kid)Comment

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
Something I don't understand, I've taken over the entire West Coast, other than Colorado and Arizona. But I mean just that Western seaboard. Colorado has taken over the entire middle desert and has 2 Strongholds(Col&KC).
Okay so,
I have 1 tile with about 20 Million fans, I haven't lost a game yet. Colorado has 3 tiles with about 30 Million fans in each. How on Earth did they get so many fans?Comment

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
So far I've only been making lopsided attacks so I can play the games on Rookie (this is my first year playing The Show). I haven't taken any strongholds yet because they've been Veteran difficulty thus far. Is Veteran the minimum difficulty for a stronghold attack or do I simply not have enough fans to make it lopsided enough as opposed to the non-stronghold attacks I've been doing on Rookie?Comment

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
Where do I go from here? im scared if I choose wrong i'll get attacked from a different side and start losing fans/territory. i've already done the Rockies and Royals strongholds prior to restarting so im not really in any hurry to do those. right now the Giants have 17m, the Dodgers have 16m, the Cardinals have 15m, the As have 13m, Detroit has 12m, the Yankees have 22m, and the rest are like 10k and under.

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
You can play strongholds on rookie. You just need four times the amount of fans when attacking.Comment

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
I know BlessingSpore72 and I have different views on this mode. I think we have discussed it before
I think if your goal for the mode is to simply finish it so you can move on to BR or Franchise, or if it just a means to an end in order to get some of the Conquest rewards then by all means sim games where you have a large advantage. That makes sense and saves time.
For me though, This is where I intend to play most of my Diamond Dynasty games. I don't see myself playing Battle Royale more than once or twice. I have no desire to play random players over the internet. The other DD modes are simply like playing exhibition games.
Because of that, I want the mode to last longer. If that means it takes me 15 or 20 minutes to play a game that could have been simmed in a few seconds then so be it. If it means I play hundreds of games in order to complete the mode then that is what I will do. I enjoy playing the games out.Comment

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
Yep Dolenz, I'm in the same place as you. Battle Royale doesn't interest me. I'm starting The Show after 336 hours of MUT, I only played Draft Champions to get specific rewards, outside of that I had no interest. I want to play with my DD team, against the CPU, while earning DD rewards. So what modes does that leave me? (actual question, remember I'm new) Just Conquest right? So just like you, I'm planning on spending all of my time in there, so I might as well play everything out and ensure wins. Plus for me I need all the practice I can get.Comment

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
So I'm going for the Ichiro card and I have all Mariners in my lineup to get to 700 innings. I've played 2 conquest games and only 5 have counted towards the 700 after I had 140 count towards the 700. Do I have to use different players?

Battle Royale looks interesting but its essential Draft Champions from MUT. I will definitely use my free entry but I dont see myself paying 1500 stubs to play until the online portion of this game becomes more stable.Comment

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
This is my intention also. I played DD online last year and got so tired of the cheese, I only played DD offline against other user created teams towards the end. I plan on playing every game I have to in Conquest to get the most out of the mode. Once I clear it, I dont know if it will be worth it to do it again or just move on to playing DD offline.Comment

Re: Conquest Question and Answer Thread
Kansas City and Colorado are getting too large. Whittle them down with conquest phase games and taking over their 1 fan territories and then take them out when you have more fans on one space than they do in their stronghold.
It doesn't really matter where you go. The general consensus is to either take over the west coast first. But watch your main base and don't let a team get a large fan stack too close to it.Comment
