Thanks for the great reviews! I guess I'll focus on Brett for now.

Re: Player Review Thread
I've yet to hear a good thing about the FB Beltre, which is disappointing to say the least. It's a shame because I use his 2016 card, which is also boosted 90% of the time and I mash vs righties and lefties. However his defense is not great, which is a shame because he still is one of the better defensive 3rd basemen in baseball, and is currently #1 defensively according to Fangraphs.
I almost have to use him exclusively as a pinch hitter, but when I do it's nothing but hits to the gap.
Shame that fb card is bugged though.Comment

Re: Player Review Thread
96 Miguel Cabrera
STATS:
l 100 AB l 39 H l 25 AB/RISP l 9 H/RISP l 13 2B l 2 3B l 3 HR l 13 RBI l 2 SO l 2 BB l .390 AVG l
Fielding:
I used Miggy down at third for the majority of his time with me and through the 32 chances he had down at the hot corner, he made no errors and was overall pretty solid. I used him there so I could keep Duda's bat in the lineup and didn't have a single complaint. However, when playing online I wouldn't suggest him to play there as a lot of people opt for speedy guys and I don't think Miggy has the arm to keep up with them. He'll make most plays with his glove but when it comes to bang bang plays at first, I think it may show his true talent down there at third. - 9/10 -
Hitting:
This is what he's known for. He hits for average and power and this card does just that. He has 39 hits and of those 39 he had 18 extra base hits. This is huge. The power attribute on a player isn't one dimensional. What I mean by that is, high power doesn't always mean tons of homers. It's also their ability to hit gappers and that's what I noticed with this card. Certain players power shows in their home runs others in their doubles and triples. Miggy is 100% a gap hitter who will run into home runs here and there. If you're looking for raw power, I don't think he's going to be what you're looking for. However, if you're looking for a guy who can plug gaps and get himself into scoring position and let the hitters behind drive him in, look no further because this guy does just that and does it at a great rate. One tiny complaint I had with him and what made me ultimately sell him to round my team out, was his bat speed. He has a slower bat so he tends to shoot things off to the right a lot. While this isn't a big deal as you can tell by his numbers, I just would prefer a hitter who I can react with as opposed to guess. This only comes into play if you're trying to pull it. - 10/10 -
Baserunning:
Surprisingly enough, he did quite well on the basepaths. He was able to leg out 2 triples and 13 doubles so he does well with what he's got. - 7/10 -
Final Thoughts:
I feel that I should mention I pulled and used Cabrera while he was still a 94 so with his stats increases he's only going to be better (in theory). I kick myself now for selling him but at the end of the day you have to try players out and see what they're like otherwise you never know. Since unloading him I've gone through my fair share of first baseman. To name a few; Harmon Killebrew, Jose Abreu, Chris Davis, Adrian Gonzalez and now Joey Votto. Not a single one was ANYWHERE near Cabrera in ability but that's to be expected, kind of. Jose Abreu when boosted is very similar in attributes yet plays nothing like him. I've used Votto for 28 ABs and am liking what I'm seeing thus far. It's a small sample size so well see how they compare once I hit the century mark with Votto. As for replacements I don't think one can simply replace him. You can get a taste of what could be with Abreu but like I said before, Miggy is on a whole other planet.

Re: Player Review Thread
George Brett 94 Overall
STATS:
98 AB l 39 H l 8 HR l 17 R l 23 RBI l 16 SO l 20 XBH l .398 AVG l .480 AVG/RISP l .776 SLG %
Fielding:
Tends to let sharply hit balls go by him due to his 68 reaction but I wouldn't say he's a liability because of it. His arm is passable.
Hitting:
Best hitter i've used so far, the 97 vision is really ridiculous. Even on HoF his PCI is nearly the same size as the strike zone. I wouldn't say he's much of a power hitter, especially against lefties, but he can definitely send them out if you get challenged inside. 3 or 4 of his HRs for me are off of right field foul poles
Baserunning:
Not much to speak about, 60 speed he can get doubles and score from second on XBHs np.
Final Thoughts:
Definitely worth the grind, probably a top 3 lefty bat.

Re: Player Review Thread
94 FB Ben Zobrist
STATS:
280 AB l 66 H l 35 AB/RISP l 4 H/RISP l 6 2B l 0 3B l 3 HR l 19 RBI l 3 BB l .236 AVG l
Fielding:
Pretty good, in fact really good. Has made some nice diving plays on occasion too and turning double plays are smooth and easy (helps if you have a good ss paired up). His throwing is great too, and pretty accurate. No errors yet with him at 2b. - 9/10 -
Hitting:
Well, I originally went for him to have some nice D on the infield as well as a solid bat. He's not that solid when he has the bat unfortunately. For a diamond 94 player too, I was kinda bummed out when I realized he's not that good at hitting at all. Usually, he'll make some good contact but you have to square it up pretty damn perfectly with him. He's also K'd the most out of all my players so that's not good either. I certainly would not recommend hitting him high in the lineup. - 4/10 -
Baserunning:
Nothing crazy, nothing garbage. He's actually kinda solid on the basepaths with above average speed and a surprisingly high steal rating. A double in the gap or down the line will most likely get him home from first. - 6/10 -
Final Thoughts:
Overall I'd say he's an average player, which is unfortunate considering he's a diamond player. He is nothing special but can get you some good defense at second base. Was he worth it for me? Not at all but it's alright. He's not a bad bat to have in the eight whole though. Personally, I pretty close to acquiring Altuve soon and he will be replacing him. However I may keep Zobrist around for the bench as he is a pretty good utility player.Comment

Re: Player Review Thread
I'm not a fan of guys like him that you can just throw high fastballs to and get out every time because they don't have enough power to punish the high heat with home runs.
The only way he would have stayed in my lineup is if he had more speed or more hitting power. But his speed is mediocre and his power is nonexistent. So I will never use him again over Corey Seager at shortstop. Just get Seager instead if you want a shortstop with good contact hitting.Comment

Re: Player Review Thread
Hit a game tying homer with 94 Zobrist online today off of Chapman in the bottom of the ninth. Zobrist is awesome versus lefties, but versus righties he only has a few hot zones so he's pretty easy to pitch around. But versus lefties, love him. And love his versatility in the field as well, so he'll be a fixture in my lineup vs lefties and will be available for pinch hitting/double switch duty when a righty is on the mound to start the game.Comment

Has anyone used the Yogi Berra you get from the Yankees feed mission? He looks solid and I could use a catcher upgrade.Comment
