Re: SDS ban hammer thousdans for exploit
If there was a programmed "loophole" / exploit I think Sony should have sent a little more specific info /warning to the users rather than just jump to banning them. If Sony had faulty programming, the server was not "hacked" to exploit currency, then not sure it's good business practice to ban these accounts. Then on top of that the response is very general to the people with complaints? Another thing I find intriguing is I can not find one youtube video with the "exploit" but the other player glitch was all over the place. Think Sony might have jumped the gun here and needs to begin some type of damage control. Also no I didn't get banned...now if they go after Yeti players I am royally screwed...
I kinda hear what you're saying about it not being good business to ban these accounts. Hopefully these people had advance warning, but I do think they issued this warning out in several places. I would guess that these people knowingly doing something glitchy are aware of the website and SDS's other social media presences.
If people were wrongly banned I hope they'll get their accounts back, but for people who did, they can take a hike. Unfortunately they'll be back next year, again ruining the experience for everyone for the first 3 months of the game.
And these people wouldn't be up and open about something like THIS, I think. They'll keep these secrets to themselves otherwise their trick gets exploited and they don't have 5 million stubs.Comment

Re: SDS ban hammer thousdans for exploit
I can understand your way of thinking to a point, but... When there's people that pay real money to buy stubs, and then on the other end there's people that knowingly exploit the game to acquire stubs by manipulating the marketplace, something has to be done. I mean if you're purposely putting in sell orders and cancelling them on multiple devices simultaneously to get refunded double the amount, you know what you're doing. You know that you're exploiting the game. You know that SDS doesn't want you to do this. From the look of twitter these people did this about 30 times each. Why should that be ok?Comment

Re: SDS ban hammer thousdans for exploit
SDS won't even reply to my emails to tell me what the problem is. I have never even played online because I am worried about a DDOS attack. I have not even cashed my free BR voucher because I was waiting for all the bugs to be worked out.
I trade on the market a lot. Sometimes I use my computer to make trades when my kid is playing PS4, but 99% of my trades are through the PS4.
Again, I have no idea why I have been banned, and there are many others that are in the same boat as me. This is going to be a huge P.R. disaster for SDS when the smoke clears.Comment

Re: SDS ban hammer thousdans for exploit
I'm not saying it's ok for them to do this or condone but I think Sony holds more responsibility in this for having subpar programming. I'll admit I have spent some money on the game and it is discouraging if there is a loophole but I feel I have a bigger grievance with Sony writing a crappy logic algorithm than the people who found it. Apparently another issue which caused banning was buying items below the quick sell value, because someone didn't know quick sell value, then quick sell. I'm not sure how Sony can pardon themselves from that market logic, that's 100% on Sony, should have set a min sell value...Comment

Re: SDS ban hammer thousdans for exploit
I noticed a few oddities in the marketplace in the 10 days
1. Trevor Rosenthal goes from 86-82. Yet his card fell maybe 2k. 6K to 4K.
2. Ervin Santana was suddenly selling for 1300 stubs all weekend (Fri-Mon)
3. Kevin Jepson was 2k Saturday & Sunday
4. Stanton was selling for 30K as of yesterday even after falling to 87
5. McCutchen was still over 20K yesterday after losing diamond status
6. Betances & Chapman cards as of yesterday were still 2K more than Miller even though Miller in DiamondI dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....Comment

Re: SDS ban hammer thousdans for exploit
This has the potential to screw even the players that were honest and didn't do anything wrong. This is likely going to have the cost of cards go down and people like me that invested in certain players will lose out on thousands of stubs.Comment

Re: SDS ban hammer thousdans for exploit
How people come up with this stuff is so crazy lol. I just found it weird it never really got out there until today. At least on reddit or anything. But 1000 people doing it? Some have to be victims
