If only SDS cared as much about the baserunning issues, the fielding issues, the bunting issues in the actual gameplay.

They only care cuz they lost money.

Why do they have to pay for them? They can easily get them by playing games, flipping cards. Also they will probably make money because with card prices increasing & the % of "legit" stubs dwindles and you start seeing all the great cards going for over 100K stubs and people buying more stubs due to the inflation created with this exploit (just like last year).

Lots of people pay for stubs. That's the reality.

But, many people don't need to. That's the reality.

Many people play the market and make plenty of stubs. I did that all last year because I like collecting cards (I didn't even play DD). At first, I bought stubs like others, but then I learned to trade on the market.

This year, I had a plan as soon as I got the game. I looked at all the items and identified which would be best for flipping, found the sets that would start cheap and then later go up (so I targeted them first), etc.

I have done nothing different than I did last year. Traded no more, no less, and in no different manner.

I don't need to buy stubs. i can make them on the market. I don't need to glitch stubs, because I can make them on the market. Playing the market, whether you like it or not, is part of the game. Some people are better at the baseball playing part of the game, some are better at the market. I don't play online, don't play BR (still have my entry voucher), but I love collecting the cards. I don't care how long it takes me, because I enjoy the activity as part of playing the game. I see how many won't understand that, but for me, that is part of the fun of the game.

On the other hand, if someone dropped 1 million stubs in my account, that would be exciting, but really, it would deprive me of the excitement of trading to get my cards.

The day I finished my last collection last year and also got my last piece of Patriot Gear - felt like the day after Christmas. it was like all the air went out of the game (at least for awhile). Obviously, with no more goals, I slowed down playing the market and focused more on RTTS and Franchise.

So, as me, cheating stubs would not really be an attractive option because it would actually lessen my enjoyment of the game.

As of now, I'm banned and I am like "WTF am I going to do all weekend?" I usually have a day-long session on Saturdays trading and playing ball games. Now, I have to find something else to do. I know I am still allowed to play RTTS, but really, I would be pretty upset knowing I have been banned under these circumstances.

You can cast all the dispersions you want - indeed, as of now, you are 100% correct in calling me a "cheater" because that is technically true. I have been banned as a cheater by SDS and that makes it so.

I am just saying, it really is not "so," and I am sure it is not "so" for many others that got banned as well.

Some people have more time than money, and some people have more money than time. That's how most business models work among paid games that let you buy resources with real money. If you have time but no money, you can grind - and having a grind can help you to get more value out of a limited game library. On the other hand, if you make a nice salary but have to split your time among work and family responsibilities, you might appreciate being able to pay to shorten the grind so you can direct your focus better in limited hours of game play.

I have time (and a lot more of it now) and money. I play the market because I think it is a fun aspect to the game. I like collecting the cards even though I don't really play DD. The only reason I even played DD this year was to complete the missions. Because I work for myself, I can take days off and just play the game or whatever - but the one of the main goals for me with the game is to collect cards and complete sets. I was very happy they started adding way more cards this year because I was really bummed when I finished all my sets last year - there was no excitement left in playing the market.

I don't think them "losing money" is an accurate way to put it. Stubs are fake currency. Like Monopoly money. They buy virtual items in the same way that Monopoly money buys plastic hotels and fake property deeds. Stubs have no value, are not redeemable for anything outside of the virtual marketplace, and cost Sony nothing to produce. They could "print" all the stubs they want whenever they want and it wouldn't cost them a dime.

I think you mean to imply that SDS lost some potential to make even more money because some bad apples (with maybe some good ones mixed in, who really knows) got for free what they might have otherwise opened their wallet for.

The real issue here, though, is managing irregularity in the marketplace and making it an enjoyable experience for the microtransaction heads to come back again and again. SDS has to cost/benefit analyze whether it's better to let cheaters stay in at the expense of frustrating and pushing other customers away or banning cheaters at the expense of maybe some false positives and causing those people to not buy the game again. That's the balancing act where real revenue is at stake.

It's a very long stretch to assume that people who got extra stubs through a glitch would have instead paid for those stubs in absence of the glitch.

lol because they lost money get real, plenty of people myself included feel good teams without spending a time. These cheaters were banned because they violated TOS have a read.

Why would I have been wasting countless hours buying and selling when I could have placed and canceled a single bid and doubled my usual 60,000-100,000 in stubs I usually use to try to buy and sell in trying to flip Dave Winfield, throwback Victor Martinez and a few other players? I spend like an hour to sometimes around 3 or 4 hours a day off and on sometimes just trying to make about 8-15,000 in stubs.

When you say "wrongfully banned", what do you mean exactly? Because from what I understand, the actually loophole that people did you actually had to TRY to do by using a mobile device to buy stubs then back out or cancel it quickly by having a second screen open.

Unless I'm completely mistaken about this, it seems like the way to do this you actually need to TRY to do it. Like it doesn't happen on accident over and over and over again like SDS is saying that people did.

Some people did this method like what...50-60 times? Even more.

I am curious, I have never been a part of a community with mass bannings, but not one person has came out yet and said they actually did do this, and got caught.

Is it just 1500 people who all got caught trying to act like they didn't do wrong? There has to be someone in this forum who actually did it and got caught.

I say this because everyone who claims to have been banned for no reason, are claiming to have played the game the exact same way that I and so many others have done, But we are all still able to play the game, and didn't fall into the 1 percent of the massive exploit.
