So one of my biggest complaints about last year was the amount of premium packs that you never were given as a reward until the card was no longer relevant or until the game was at the end cycle of content. I think it’s insanely worse about this so far this year. Every week is a new premium pack and it’s never in any program or conquest map. I’m not expecting to just get free rare rounds, but the chance to pull one makes it exciting and it was one of the best ways to make stubs NMS 2 years ago when I first started playing the show. I’m just really disappointed that this is the direction that they’re going and it’s souring me on what has otherwise been a really fun experience.

Probably bouncing even earlier this year if they don’t change course.

Feel the same, hiding Cruz behind that pack and providing us with garbage cards to shoot for a single show packs does not motivate me to do this program AT ALL

AT LEAST let us earn an awards pack in the program or give us a chance to earn Cruz but make the program harder or something.

I had an hour to play today and I opted to start that new bray wyatt documentary instead. Monday I played the event and it was good. I do like gameplay this year assuming you have a decent pitcher which I think makes pinpoint much better. I feel like the stadiums are all playing pretty well whether MLB or not.

But yeah this content is just killing it for me...like today I just felt like there wasn't much point. I'll prob get to 20 event wins on saturday or next Monday but the easter egg thing i don't really care, i feel this new topps now alternative would be fine if they didn't put guriell and cruz in a pay pack.

If I were to have played today I prob would've just played 3 mini seasons games with my "god squad" team just for the sake of chipping away at mini seasons for the packs (which i'll likely get some jerseys and bronze cards).

I don't really have good pitching where I want to go into ranked too much more at the moment so yeah im just not finding much incentive to play or grind.

I never buy any other games so I would just opt to watch tv instead of playing if that were the case but yeah....I would be driven to grind for the cruz card...garrett crochet i don't think I'm taking him into ranked.

I do feel like gameplay feels better this year and I like the exit velo boosts but yeah idk, content isn't pulling me in.

I definitely agree with you. Gameplay wise it’s been a lot of fun. I’ve played with my main squad more than all of last year combined. I like the team affinity changes, and finished ranked quickly.

But they definitely feel to be pushing more to packs, and then not making packs available in the program it just seems like they are taking away too much. Monthly awards was always my favorite program, and I think this new program to replace Topps now and monthly awards isn’t doing much for me so far.

Today was a quick day checking it out and playing something else tonight. Last year they lost a lot of their goodwill for me. This year started out good but it’s trending in the Madden/2K direction too much for my liking.

Hope this is an anamoly but today’s program really left a bad taste in my mouth.

I spend about 50% of my time playing DD, but since I don't spend money on stubs/packs, I think the recent updates have finally driven me away from the mode completely. It's unfortunate really because I enjoy playing with players from different generations and earning the monthly rewards, etc. through gameplay.

i hate this pay for packs things that is going on as well. i could be more ok with it , if they actually put them 1 of them in each program it wouldn't be so bad , but none of the packs anywhere but in the shop is terrible.... I'm just trying to enjoy the game because it feels great gameplay wise but this is really pushing me to think about going back to franchise . I am at 15 wins in the event and i am going to dive harder into Ranked now i believe, i did play 1 ranked game last night and i was killing the ball winning 6-1 and then my internet went out and gave me the loss i was extremely pissed, so now I'm 4-1 and that really bothers me ..

i am close to P5ing Buxton and Mondesi they are my best cards by far along with the Sexson and Matt Carpenter captain card. My best pitcher right now is the Tink Hence card i got him to P4 also ..

I will get alot of time to play this weekend while im watching WrestleMania both nights so hopefully the game will play smoothly

That Bray Documentary was incredible .. he was my favorite guy in WWE and he passed on my birthday last year which wrecked me.

Another thing I'd add to your comment is the price of the pack. Charging 40k for nearly every premium choice pack is creeping into 2k/EA territory. I flat-out refuse to buy any of these packs. I'd like to give them the benefit of a doubt that maybe they'll put those packs in later programs/content but I've quickly lost faith in SDS.

I'm barely playing DD at this point anyways (it just isn't fun to me for a lot of reasons). There's really no 'grind' left for anything worth grinding for (the Season 1 collection rewards is nothing more than a reward for spending lots of money).

I'm sure I'll occasionally tinker with the mode - but I'm pretty much going to be playing franchise full time (which is the earliest in the year I've made the transition). My issues with DD go far beyond the "greed aspect" but continual decisions like this just hasten my departure.

I agree with the thoughts on the content being exclusive to packs. Not a fan of that at all.

Hopped into events for the first time this morning to knock out the 2 doubles for the egg hunt program. Every game felt really laggy and it was just impossible to time anything up consistently. Doesn't give me much confidence to hop into ranked if it plays the same way. I did mange to get both doubles but it took me 4 or 5 games. Not a great experience.

I think the problem with these packs and only being in the store is due to the fact we don't have 3 programs going on at once where they would toss one or two of them in as a reward etc. Maybe we will see these once we get more content program wise? If not, then it stinks for sure because you know dang well we will need those cards for collections.

As far as online, I haven't had one bad experience yet. Which is shocking! I turned off cross play to avoid playing ps4 guys etc. All my games have felt really smooth, even the 4 or 5 co-op games, smooth as silk. Which now I'm sure I fixed myself lol..

i am encouraged by this as well but i just hope the lightning cards are higher rated than the players they drop in the packs because if not then whats the point?

I finished it today... Those last 15 minutes are like the saddest thing I've seen in years.

I thought his return was pretty epic, I missed alot of his pre 2019 stuff due to working nights but how they did his return was really good and it seems like he had so much more potential like he just scratched the surface, plus hhh seems to be figuring it all out as a whole right now so would be interesting with Bray in the mix ... And doc makes him seem like a genuinely good guy too

How do multiple people have Kyle seager p5 already? Can you have even played br that much and drafted him that frequently by now?

Its supposed to be impossible to have the xp to him at this point right?

I saw online that lots of people had their account and cards and stubs and all reset 👀... Thankfully that didn't happen to me (p5).

Since Monday I've just played a handful of mini season games cause I don't know what to do lol... So just trying to earn some packs in the interim and other than pulling judge on day 1 I really haven't gotten anything of note.

If this buxton boost didn't exist I'd really be struggling lol. If content continues to be similar I hope the next set of cornerstones are well thought out to allow us to field a pretty good all star level nms team.

Any idea on the three legend storylines? I hope it's useful cards. Hoping we get a good honus this year and I'd find his story or some of these other old guys interesting

I decided to sell Yordan even though I hit really well with him (especially with the Arenado boost). Between that and selling Randy Johnson, who I kept getting lit up with, allowed me to complete the NL collection. I look forward to trying out Pedro in RS. I can’t seem to crack even 700 this year, hopefully he’ll help with that.

I’m going to be bummed when Matt Carpenter retires because I always rake with his cards in DD. I don’t think I’m taking this card out of my 2B slot all year.
