I finally got to 7 wins in BR for the first time this year and I still believe it's rigged cause it matched me up with yet another flawless guy.

I got him out 123 with sale and then hit a leadoff hr with mcneil and he quit. I guarantee flawless guy has like 90% chance of beating me so I got lucky.

From last Tuesday until this afternoon I was visiting my nephew in Texas, so of course they have a short event that I would love to play and double xp on the weekend I was gone. I tried to use Xbox cloud gaming while I was at the hotels I stayed at, but that was pretty much unplayable. I started playing the event shortly after I got home hoping I’d make it to Goldy by the end of the night, but I won 10 of 11 games so far, so now I think I might go for that xp for 20 wins. With the xp from the 10 event wins, I got to the 2nd Wild Card. That’s going to come in handy when I try to finish the ranked program this week.

I'm playing event and one guy already has griffey, chipper, Roy and Jeter.... The 99s. Wtf has this dude not taken a nap since s2 dropped?

any of you vouch for nhl 24, franchise mode? It's been a number of years since i played so i wouldn't touch online

i'm a florida panthers fan so now i'm in hockey mode and i keep finding myself skipping out on the show, might be a good change of pace

Down to just the NLC now for TA C1. Saved it for last to earn as much talent as possible- it’s a pretty good lineup and bullpen, but boy the pitching talent is bare. The K missions are my TA bread and butter, but I might have to start relievers in Conquest and vs CPU to get this done. Doing Conquest until I earn a pitching boss pack for any given Div, then it’s all Rockies-bashing vs CPU from then on to rack up those 10 K boss missions.

Haven’t touched MS yet, still have 4-5 conquests left to complete. Might switch to some MS grinding for packs and XP after I complete the Dodgers uniform S2 conquest. That would leave only unrestricted roster Conquests to work through afterwards.

I feel like this game went from play for 90 days to get nothing, to play for 9 days and get lots of stuff you don't want. Including stubs, which I can't use - now up to 810K with nothing to buy unless I wanted to make Adley my second WC (which I don't yet have, or Yasmani who I'd use first).

By the time they find the middle bowl of porridge on DD this year, I'm going to be immersed in NCAA and regretting the days I've spent building my team (again).

Went back to play ranked in 2023, I just don't have the desire to murder myself with all these terrible cards and homework at a chance to earn Jeter/chipper in time to use them. I think I've given up on the xp and collections for s2.. When they release the 99s for s2 I also don't know if I wanna chip away at team affinity to get them

So any ranked 2023, the game feels so much faster in the field. It's fun to play with my 99a and favorite cards from last year. I got the bases loaded in the 2nd and then my opponent disconnected but the 2nd game I lost 9-8 and played a full 9 in nings. It's just soooo much better playing with these cards.

In 24 right now I'd just roll into ranked with live series and bad pitching.

In 23 maybe I'll try to make world series hoping the comp is weaker. I was going to try to avoid using randy and Donaldson since the games don't really count to anything. If those two get spammed maybe it takes the fun out.

Just got all my TAs to 100%, pulled Mookie and sold him to get over 920K, and earned the second wildcard which I'm going to use to rotate 99 SPs like Paige and Wood. Seeing an increase to guys like Adley and Skenes from S1, so it looks like people are buying those back as the WC slots get earned.

I'm sitting at 20-6 in Ranked, and that's about the only thing I have left to do that motivates me. I'm over 100 cards into the Collection - not sure why they didn't release a new reward for 120, but would love a Lou Brock-esque card in the mid to high 90's to reward what feels like great progress there.

But again, short of BR which isn't really a reason to play for those lackluster cards, there's just not a lot of compelling reasons to turn on DD besides the addiction we all fight in this thread!

Funny you say Franchise mode - I might check it out. One of the game elements I think they've done a great job on is player appearances. All of the mid-game updates have been great, and as soon as Jared Durran gets a new appearance, I might run a Red Sox rebuild back. Even if it's just largely simming, I haven't dabbled with the mode in 4-5 years and used to spend all my time building rosters for it.

Finished TA C1. Now it’s onto the remaining conquests left undone. For the moment, I’m running a Devers/Prior captained squad. If you’re up against a RHP, it’s a pretty tasty option.

I got all the xp from BR over the weekend, then today I finished up a mini season. I’m 45k away from the first boss pack, depending on how much xp is available from the new event and program, I could get 99 Griffey tomorrow.

Since we got some 97s today does that mean the asg content next week will be 99s?

I honestly don't care about royce Lewis, and trout is better then live series but I might just wait till he gets down to like 50k and buy him and soriano

I hope they abandon this seasons ****, grinding for stuff to lose just makes grinding in the first place not do able..

I would be satisfied with how they occasionally events if your team for ranked needed like a max 95 overall team build and then you could use all your cards but you were limited in certain overalls you couldn't have a team of all 99s. I think to keep the power creep if they did that as an alternative it would be much better

I also just use captains if the meta requires it but I really don't care about captains.
