I agree, I really hate the cutscene where it just shows the guy dropping the bat after he hits a HR. For a game with such great atmosphere and presentation it would be really nice to get HR's up to par.

      Check swings need improvment!!

If you want to see a good check swing system play 3DO High Heat Baseball.

          A MUST HAVE for me:

People have been complaining about how the pitching/batting animations are very inaccurate unlike 2K. But I have a solution to make the pitching windup/set even more accurate. Its very simple have two options: Delivery and Windup. THATS IT. For example, you can have K-ROD have no windup as an option and have "Francisco Rodriguez" set. OR you can have Jered Weaver have Scott Shields windup and Jered Weaver's set. You can do this for everybody because some windups are perfect for others but their sets dont fit as well. Its very simple and shouldnt be hard to add in.

I HOPE people comment this and see what they think.

Again, sorry if this has already been said but how about all-time greatest teams like they have in the Madden games? Like the Mariners team that won 118 games or whatever, the Miracle Mets, the '04 Red Sox, etc. Yeah I know the Mariners didn't win it all that year but Madden includes teams that didn't win it all too. Just an idea.

My biggest wish that I haven't seen yet would be no wrist bands when wearing long sleeves. It's not to bad with regular uniforms you just see the number on close ups but with alternate jerseys it really looks bad.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I have not read all 28 pages so bear with me if all of these have mentioned.
                  1. Less beach ball, more snot rockets.
                  2. The main game play issue with me is my outfielder charging the ball way to slow and then making a ho-hum throw . give up way to many cheap runs.
                  3. the CPU outfielders are to fast but more importantly they play way to deep! Even for pitchers!
3.No more hidden stances or windups!
4.Someone mentioned this and I agree if you can mix and match pitchers windups and stretches. Also hitters walk ups and stances, not a big deal but for example Ian Kennedy looks like Mike Mussina from the stretch, but not the windup. Over all alot of stances/windups need some tweaking.
                  5. I know many do not like the seeming abundance of foul balls but I love the accurate pitch counts. So keep the slider so both extremes can be appeased.
6.Im ok w/ the uniforms as is but more variety would be cool. I would love flip up sunglasses but that is not a big deal. Does anybody remember the white cap the Reds wore in the mid nineties? Would love to see that, But the big thing for me as far as uniforms go is to have control of the uniforms on in sesaon mode that is more important to me than more variety.
7.Ive heard dynamic weather is in for next year which is great. Would like dynamic lighting for day games and chalk etc changing as game goes on.
8.Active Bull pens for both teams.
                  9. I would like to see old stadiums in the game and more importantly to be able to use these stadiums in season mode. for example I considered playing a Twins season but hate their stadium. If I could sub a different stadium that would be way cool. Also i know it is not a classic but I want Riverfront park. I know its an astro turf cookie cutter but I always loved Riverfront Park!
                  9. Finally I would like three teams available in season instead of two.
I know that seems like alot but I want to stress how much I love the game overall. I got my PS3 for this game and have not regretted it once. Keep up the good work guys!

Too many "snot rockets" to begin with imo, and the beachball thing is generic and forced. What do you mean by #3, I hadn't heard of that one.

The snot rocket thing is partly in jest, as far as the other the out fielders for the CPU play almost to the warning track for every hitter which enables them to cut off balls in the alley, which contributes to the lack of extra base hits that many complain about.

Yeah, they should really look into adding this.

For example, Giovanni Gallardo's windup fits well with Ian Kennedy, but from the stretch it's not right. We should be able to have his windup as Gallardo, then select another pitching motion for the stretch.

                            I agree.

The playoff games need a lot more atmosphere. The fans should be louder, chant more, have them waving rally towels, thunder sticks, cutscenes of Braves fans doing the chop, players getting really pumped up after big hits, etc. Stuff like that makes playoff baseball special.

                            Examples:

                            Rally Towles:

Check out Tino's reaction, fans, teammates, etc.:

Just look and listen to the fans:

Throughout the playoffs, the fans weren't any louder than they were when I played the Orioles on April. Come on, SCEA, you gotta do a better job in this aspect of the presentation.

A sports game, one of these years, has to finally make it feel special to win the championship. I won the World Series in The Show 08 and it felt like just another win, the fans didn't seem to care. The celebration on the field was super short as well. After playing so many hours, I expected a lot more. Not the same WS celebration from the Show 06 and 07. Make it long, drawn out, give me a 2-3 minute cutscene at least! Show the players celebrating in the locker room, spraying champagne, drinking, dancing, hugging, getting the WS trophy, passing it around to different teammates, all that good stuff.

                              I agree wholeheartedly.
I popped ASB2005 in yesterday. Besides being shocked at the graphics looking pretty bad(but when I first played that game...I thought they were amazing! )......the atmoshpere of certain aspects of the game STILL made me shake my head in amazment.
My pitcher got on on a bad throw .....and put his warmup jacket on.
I could see the players breath in the cold air.
The stadium had the red, white and blue bunting hung up for opening day.
I WAS PLAYING IN EBBETS FIELD!!!!(I did an expansion draft and started the Brooklyn Green Sox).
I went to send a player down....and got the message that he was out of options and must clear waivers.
The ticker popping up every couple of innings with scores and pitching lines/homeruns makes me want to play this game just for that. I know I'm a broken record on this one....but I still remember a franchise I had going when I was playing the game regularly and was down by one game to the Braves...on the last day of the season. They had the lead of their game and I was winning mine. I couldn't wait for the ticker to pop up to see if their opponent went ahead.....when they did...I was jumping around like the lunatic that I am!
I think I beat them in a one game playoff(or the game picked my team because of better head to head?)...I can't remember...I just remember making the playoffs.

Now to be fair.....playing again....the game was fairly horrible outside of MoM where you could forgive a lot of funky animations and gameplay......the editor was terrible because of it's limitations(you can't change a players handedness or position....at least SCEA got ONE of these right).....there was no way to move players around outside of franchise mode(SCEA did fix that one)....but I still say that was one heck of a game....and other games could do well to implement certain aspects of it.
