Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

After reading all the posts ...it would be hard to imagine anything that hasn't been mentioned. Prior to this "season" I had always played my baseball on the PS2...last year I bought an EyeToy after reading about being able to capture a facsimile of your own face on Created players. It was a fun "toy"...it took many attempts to actually figure out all the proper lighting and focus needs etc etc to eventually develop a face that was recognizable as your own...this all being said...IF the future games had this or a similar type of option, it might be interesting. I would think, with the far superior tech that is involved and the processor capability, capturing and being able to use a face photo would not be difficult. Speaking for myself...or perhaps speaking for my vanity...it would be cool to have your own face on "your" player. This would also give the abilty on created players to expand the sunglasses, eye glasses, eye black and hair etc etc. Thanks!

75% of the Earths surface is covered by water......the remaining 25% is covered by Ichiro.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I think someone mentioned it but dynamic lighting would go a long way to making the game feel more realistic. Starting night games at dusk with the sun going down would be so much better than starting in pitch black like it is now. Also, more realistic shadows like at Miller Park, Fenway during the day, etc.

Most importantly: Can some next-gen sports franchise (besides NBA 2k) have a professional looking TV-style presentation? This has been long overdue...

The other thing I would trully appreciate seeing added to this game(at least in RTTS) is the ability to at least alter lineup and rotation orders, along with positions. I posted something about this on the RTTS thread this morning. My examples of WHY are on that thread.

Fix the problem of the players wearing longsleeves at night, and put all the coaches into on categorie so you can sign them for what ever you want

One thing I'd really like to see... stats stats stats.

Let us see the box scores for each game, viewable even after the game is completed. I'm a complete sucker for that stuff . And it might be quite useful for people that don't play every game and simulate once in a while like me to know how the batting order was set up, what pitchers were used, etc from the simulated game.

And umm... realistic trades, budgets, and signings please? Right now trades are all based on if the rosters have enough space and if the players involved from both sides match up their salaries. If a team is struggling when approaching July 31st, make them think about deals offering up several "A" potential prospects for a top major league player. And signings are ridiculous, every team seems to be able to pony up $10M+ per to 2-3 guys every offseason.

And please, bring back franchise mode. I really liked the fact from previous MLBs ('05 and before?) that you can run your team and upgrade the stadium, watch how you spend your dough, adjust ticket prices to maximize profit, install concessions and stuff like that. Only make it better of course... more customizable options?

              Corrupt.....
You can see the boxscores from every game this year...you can go back to Game 1 after you complete the season if you like. Just go to the date...hit X and it gives you the option to view boxscore.
....and I'm not sure what you mean...but they do have franchise mode. You can update the stadium...add vendors and such. Setting prices is not there(I think)...but any other additions would be great!

I know this may sound lame but I would love for cubs fans only or for wriggley feild only a 7th inning stretch. Now I remember when I was younger and used to watch it with Harry Carey but it still would be fun.

Another thing I would like to see is a baseball tonight feature where if you wanted a recap of the game you played you could go in and watch a recap of the game and they could enhance it to include deals and trades.

Here is something I thought would be cool if they could add. After making a trade in the game maybe they could have the picture of the player change. What I mean is have the hat change to the new team he is on. Maybe have the top of the picture (where the hat is) be computer generated. I know it’s small and kinda lame but I think it would be cool.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

fix the fatigue. When you can't run a guy out there every 5th day, you have a problem. Position players fatigue way too quickly as well.

Fix the uniforms and equipment for every single team to be exactly like what is used on the field.
                    NFL: Tennessee Titans
                    MLB: Cincinnati Reds

                      Again 100% agree!

fatigue in MLB The Show 08 is not even close to real life

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

1st of all id like to say, all the suggestions are great, most of them make sense to the game itself, but heres my 2 cents on it.

I wud like them to improve or add stuff such as:

*Better physics, (players' movements, stances, collision system etc)
*graphics (mostly the overall look, a bit more realistic, either better lighting or post processing)
*Batting Practice is a MUST, thats the core of tis game, even than, Pitchin Practice cud come in handy as well.
*Finally for RTTS mode, let every position do its job, if ur a catcher, let him decide wat the pitcher should throw, adjust the camera according to its view, more like EYE Level, that wud add realism.

i think the rest is something that will eventually come in the following yrs, so its just matter of time.

Haven't looked through all this but an idea for rtts:

Have the ability in rtts to watch the game through your player's eyes.Like your actually the player. When not up to bat, a view from in the dugout and watch the game. Maybe even be able to communicate with other players. And be able while on the field to watch the game and not know when a ball is coming to you. When your on deck have the ability to practice swing.

This would take a lot of space i know but in a few years maybe.
Again not the only option keep the option to do the rtts that we have now or the one i explained.
                            MLB: St. Louis Cardinals
                            NBA: New York Knicks
NFL: Houston Texans, St. Louis Rams

That was good. I LOVE the day night progression that you did. Man, some of the skies. I remember in ASB you'd even hear thunder in the background, but the skies add a tremendous amount of feel to the game.

Old time stadiums, the minors like you said AND THE ABILITY TO USE ANY STADIUM IN FRANCHISE MODE.
