Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
Good list, I would add a few things:
1) the ability to play any game going on that day during Franchise mode (like in Madden). For example, if I have a Red Sox franchise and one day I would like to play the Yankees/Rays game, I should be able to. This would be awesome and add some variety to Franchise mode.
2) Rain delays, drizzle, cloudy days, sunny days, temperature changes, etc.
3) More sliders functionality... as it is, hitting is too easy. I've adjusted and tweaked the sliders like crazy, and it plays well, except my team average is .330, I'm last in the league in strikeouts and walks...
4) The hot and cold feature is good, but it needs to be redone... as it is, players get hot or cold too quickly, and pitchers lose their confidence level too quickly. It's not as realistic as it could be with a little tweaking. Also, defensive plays should factor in, meaning, if a player makes an outstanding catch to end an inning and he's up the following half inning, he should still be a little fired up from it.
5) In terms of editing batting stances and deliveries, I always thought it would be cool if there was a way to mix and match bottom halves and torsos... so, for example, say I want to edit a player's stance, and J.D. Drew's legs are perfect but Carlos Guillen's top half is perfect. it would be cool if I could take the parts from each and have the complete stance.
6) 2-tone bats!
7) double headers!!Comment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
What is "fired up" that he has good support? Are his ratings improved? Are there any studies that show this actually occurs?Comment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
I'm sure this has been said before, but they need to add customization options like in 2k8. The gameplay is wonderful, the graphics are great, but the things like shin guards and catchers equipment look like afterthoughts. I really like the cloth movement, editable jersey and pant styles, and the equipment (shin guards, elbow guards, catchers' gear) from 2k8.Comment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
Definitely collusion detection could be better, the balls go right through the bases if its hit to them, and players should be able to collide like old Triple Play Baseball games. Other than that I cant really complain with whats on the listComment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
There probably are studies that would show that pitchers tend to be more confident when there is run support, and that they tend to be more aggressive around the plate. Realistically, I think if you're "in the zone" (wouldn't that be similar to "fired up"?), you're control is going to be better and you're going to get more batters out with the K. Not personal experience, just years and years of watching the real thing.Comment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
I think the game is great the way it is but to justify a The Show 09 purchase I would like to see,
1. Pitchers all seem to throw the same and have similar results - maybe something to differentiaite the pitchers.
2. Fielders seem to take forever to get the ball in - Would like to see fielders pick up the ball and get it in (or to cut-off) quicker. They always seem to take the hop step instead of just gunning it in (this could cause a higher percentage for error)
3. Weather, Dynamic Day/Night transition
4. Have the fans moving around (walking in the isles), have players sitting in the bullpens.
5. (this is a stretch and depends on the PS3 breakaway controller rumor) Have a pitching/fielding mode that utilizes the breakaway gamepad. It seems like it tracks movement so you as a player would have to reach down on grounders or put your hand up on pop-flys and since the gamepad is breakaway and you have one in each hand you would have to lift the correct hand for lefties/righties in the field. It would be pretty interactive/fun.Last edited by e0820; 06-21-2008, 02:14 PM.Comment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
-i wish we could have import a franchise such as if the creators of the game posted a franchise that could be downloaded that mirrors the real franchises so at the ASG we could take the exact stats and standings and start the frachise right there.
- for example teams such as the tampa bay rays always end up in last place in franchise modes it would be cool if we were able to take charge of the rays and continue the dream season and guide them to the playoffs
Would be cool for all sports games not just the show
-also i enjoyed the classic scenarios that were available in what i think was all star baseball 2k3 for the gamecube i may be wrong but it was the year after lowe threw the no hitter against the devil rays and we had to break up the no no in teh 9th those are always fun to take part in.Comment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
Haven't read the whole thread. I'm sure this has been covered.
1. Reliever usage still largely blows.
Too many games with the starter throwing 5+ innings followed by the long reliever taking it to the end. This would be fine if it was a blow out or something, but this happens in 1-2 run games. Set-up relievers rarely get used when the AI is behind in a game. That's silly.
Manager AI still generally sucks all around, but it's particularly bad when it comes to the relievers. I still see the same pattern of relievers used every game no matter what the situation.
2. Tone down the effect of confidence. It was particularly bad in 07 and a tad better in 08, but it's still too heavy handed.Comment

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
This game gets bored after a while with the same hits and doubles/ scenes so if is possible
- More Hits/Bloopers.. balls that get to the wall
- Less Foul Balls
-Ball boys that chase after foul balls. Bullpens with players in them during the game, not just while warming up
-All-Star Break with all events
-In RTTS If your are a catcher u should call the pitches. Also aby other positions there should be more action not juss catching a pop up include more situations like more runners tagging and other situations
- Weather (Rain , Drizzles, Lighting thunderstorm) This can add more realistic to the game not juss a perfect day at the ballpark with the sun all the time. Also if possible rain delays and double headers.
-Open or closed staduim option
-catchers tossing their masks
-Batting practice
-Ball boys and Ball girls
-Fans and vender's walking up and down the steps during pitches
-Like Statnut in rtts players get drafted
- Players diving into stands getting foul balls
-day/night progression
I hope at least you include weather and half of these to make a better game and more enjoy ableYankees!!

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread
Please do not take away the foul balls. I absolutely love the 10 pitch at bats. The accurate pitch counts, it is baseball heaven. The foul balls are very important for accurate stats.Comment
