Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Uniform/stadium select in Franchise/RTTS would just about clinch it for me.

I also have an issue with the OF diving when I'm trying to command my IF to do it. The result can be my OF on the ground as a slow rolling ball goes to the wall.

Like to see more catch errors -- slider doesn't seem to work. More dives and misses. More doubles. Hits down either line should be XBHs 90+% of the time.

I know there's a work around, but I'd like to override the retired numbers if possible.

I'm also seeing a lot of high ERAs from my competition in Franchise -- like 6.50+ on four out of the five opposing starters.

It's [email protected] I believe. I've actually been sending them all of the things out of this thread.

As I say every year. Get the friggin alternate unis correct for ALL the teams especially Oakland, Atlanta, and Texas.. Allow us to pick the jerseys instead of the CPU randomly picking it for us in franchise or season mode.

This is one that gets to me almost every game. There will be a guy on 2nd and a hard hit grounder to RF. Instead of the RF'er getting the ball and coming up and throwing to home quickly, he'll come up throwing slow (ie: the animations are slow....not the throw). Almost like there isn't code to decipher when a fielder needs to make a play on a runner and when they're just tossing it back to the infield.

Same thing applies on flyballs. Guy on 3B and a flyball out to my CF. I'll often see the CF catch the ball and then go through a long animation before throwing home. By that time, it's too late.

I preload each throw as well so that's not the issue.

Sony please spectator mode to MLB The Show 09!!

With spectator mode you could watch other people playing online.

So the way it would work is you could join in at any time to watch any game being played online.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I just picked up a PS3 and the show this weekend. So far I like it, but there are just a couple of things. (Warning long post ahead and it's just me rambling like an old man.)

My main issue is how long RTTS takes. Meaning, I can spend two hours playing it and it just doesn't feel like I have accomplished much. Extremely irritating when coming of the bench. You have the long load to start the game then do your pinch at bat and then another long closing section. I can understand the initial loading of the game and maybe the ending of the game, but I want to zoom quickly to my next at bat and/or fielding chance. Almost instant, just hit x after reading the scenario and go.

Also a FF feature would be great during baserunning. I really hate it, it's almost like pulling teeth for me now and I'm barely done with my first 2 months of my first AA season. I hope I have the patience to last through the first season, let alone get to the show.

Couple of other things that would be cool. It was probably my fault, but I haven't even played a full exhibition game before I started my RTTS career. So do the limited practice hitting was difficult to get used to. It would be nice to have a batting practice section and a fielding section as well. Also make it quick too. Throw a pitch, see it land, then set and throw again.

Man I sound so impatient, but when I only get 1-2 hours a day to play, I would like to maximize that and feel like I got somewhere.

Other than that, I really like it. But call me crazy, I still like pitching, fielding and batting better on 2K8. I like that total control stuff. It's the reason why I'm going to continue to my franchise in 2K8 instead of the Show, even though I would love for it to be on the show because the graphics are just so beautiful. Hey that can be another wish list item, give us another option for controlling players like 2K8. What I really missed from 2K8 is how hitting a HR felt really good. So far in this game every hit, ground out, slow roller, and pop up have felt the same. But in 2k8, man sometimes it felt like I could really feel that hit. Don't know how to describe it though.

Give us the ability to turn CPU roster control on and off after we start a franchise, I like to keep the rosters accurate during the first season, but then when I go to the next season I want it so the computer will do whatever it wants to.

Add Joba's custom celebration after he K's someone, where he takes off his glove and walks counter-clockwise to the back of the mound.

Fielding is #1 as most people have said, nothing new here.

                          Here's my wants for 2009

                          1. When creating new players or editing current players you should be able to choose their number of years of experience. (ex. No Eric Hinske from TB on the original roster, before the update, but when you create him for your season he's a rookie instead of a 6 year vet). It was always that way on most games for years but now it's not an option anymore....

                          2. Find a solution for the sleeve issues.

                          3. Editing Managers and Coaches for franchises and seasons (faces, bodies, jersey #'s, and names).

That's it. That's all I need to be in MLB The Show Heaven!

Being able to edit manager and scout and all that stuff ratings like you can player ratings.

Also for batters have a rating for fastball hitting and a rating for breaking ball hitting.

The mini-games in MVP 05 for developing players. During the offseason, you can do batting and pitching stuff to improve your players based on your score. That'd be awesome.
