MAKE THE GAME MORE FUN NOT JUST CATCHING AND BATTING MORE EXCITEMENT IN THE GAME.. AFTER A WHILE I GET BORED OF THE GAME IT NEEDS EXCITEMENT AND WEATHER TO BE REAL LIKE RAIN AND MORE HITS AND DOUBLES , BLOOPERS OMG NEW HITS.In EVERY GAME I PLAY I HIT THE BALL STRAIGHT AT THE PITCHER LIKE 4 TIMES .

NEW HITS DOWN THE LINE MORE DOUBLES TRIPLES ,

<hr style="color: rgb(57, 57, 57);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Adrian Beltre does this weird thing where he points down to 1B whenever he checks his swing, as if that has any control on the umpire checking with the first base ump. It's pretty silly for a lot of reasons and a bizarre idiosyncrasy by Beltre.

But I think it would be cool if you put it in the game. So yeah.

        • I really don't know the answer to this, so it's probably at least 2 or 3 years away. Is there any way to "self motion-capture" with the Sixaxis so that we could capture our own swings and attach them to our created RTTS player?
        • Also, what about more dynamic announcing? Like the announcers discussing general more general topics when a player comes to the plate? For instance, if Omar Vizquel comes to the plate, we would hear something like this:

Vasgersian: Now you have to think that Vizquel is a sure-fire HOFer.

Campbell: Are you insane? He's a good, not great, defensive SS and an average hitter for his position. If he gets in the Hall should just start admitting anyone with more than 6 years service time.

Vasgersian: Oh, I couldn't disagree more. He played on some of the great teams of the 90's, he has been a durable player, and he's gritty/tough/a gamer.

Campbell: Vasgersian, your views on baseball are setting the game back 20 years.

        etc.

That example is a little tongue in cheek, but these main point stands.
        • Also, I would put even more player-to-player interaction on the field. That's one of the most fresh aspects of 08. Seeing opposing players joking with each other or getting mad at each other or whatever is pretty cool and replicates really major league baseball very well. I would go one step further and include real personalities. For instance, Sean Casey and Orlando Cabrera/Hudson should be constantly yakking it up during the game with opposing players, while A.J. Pierogi is pissing people on the other team off.
        • Also, I would try to make the benches and bullpens more active. Have people milling around, getting water, talking to each other, etc.
        • Ball girls and ball boys are a must. Fair and foul territory look empty without them.
        • Customized walk-up musics which we can choose.
        • More variation of defensive styles and plays. I don't mean to bring up Adrian Beltre in two consecutive posts, but he has a very unique style at 3B which should be captured in its own right. A lot of players have their own unique features which should be accounted for in the game.
        • Less throwing errors, or at least make them within the player's control.
        • The hitting and pitching interface are perfect or near-perfect as far as I'm concerned. No need to toggle too much with those.
        • That's about it. Just remember, baseball is a game about personalities. Personalities, personalities, personalities.

                Hey Guys,
I think I have some preety good ideas, however I dont know if these have already been posted so you will have to bare with me.
                • Firstly weather. Now I dont know how hard this is to program into the game but maybe in april places like Colorado and Cleveland should see snow. And maybe have a in game weather menu where you can see the forecast as the game goes along. So if rain is forecasted you could pull your pitcher after maybe 3 innings to save him for the next game.
                • Attendance. Now I'm a real big fan of the system so far of attences fluctuating because of a good record or promotions. But wouldnt it be great if your teams down 12-0 and the stadium starts to empty. And then for the commentators to react to this.
                • Schedule. It would also be fantastic if some games started at 3:05 and the sky starts to go dark in game. Another idea I have is that some games you play could be broadcasted on say a National or Local basis a little like NCAA. Also be allowed to choose your jerseys.
                • Lineups. Maybe have 4 lineups to choose from so if 1 lineup is not working so well you could just select another that you made earlier instead of having to swap players around.
Now I know most of my suggestions are to do with presentation which probably is the best in any sports game already but to maybe buff them up a bit would be nice to see.

                Thanks!

These along with my idea which is in my thread titled: Greatest Idea Ever for 09, would make THE BEST Baseball videogame by far.

Thanks, your trade value idea would be fantastic cause thats what happens GM's try to figure how much one player relates to another.
A lot like the Sabathia trade.
To add an idea to your idea what if you had 4 options when you highlight the player you want. Thes 4 options could be
                    1. Approach ballclub about players availabilty.
                    2. Contact GM over possible trade
                    3. Contact players agent
                    4. Make trade offer

I think in the next edition of the game you should be able to offer draft picks or money like in real baseball .

RTTS....The Catcher calling pitches. That is a great idea.

75% of the Earths surface is covered by water......the remaining 25% is covered by Ichiro.

                          RTTS

Do drills when you create your player like in Madden and then get drafted.

Please, please, please fix the fielding. Gameplay-wise, its the game killer for me at times. Guys not throwing quick enough, holding the ball, crow hopping, pre-loaded throws not actually going through....kills me. Even the jump and dive seems difficult and clumsy for me.

                            Hopefully this gets smoothed out

The throwing really needs to be addressed. I'd rather they go back to one type of throw than some of the frustrating throws I see in the game. Had one today where a guy dragged bunted down the first base line, my pitcher hustled over to get it, it was going to be a close play and GROAN he goes into a big wind up (15 feet from the bag), overhands it. UGH. Runner is ten feet past the bag by the time the ball gets there.

The underhanded one to 2nd base that kills your inning because the runner beats it. And all the high throws to first base. Geez, can I see a booted ground ball instead. Just one!
